Welcome to dickblick
This 4-legged steel stand is favored by colleges because of its economy and durability. The welded angle steel frame provides great rigidity. Legs are on locking, ball bearing swivel casters for easy, quiet rolling. It has a 24" (61 cm) leg spread at the base for great stability.
Its durable, waterproof top turns. It measures 16" × 16" (41 cm × 41 cm). The stand has a 250 lb (114 kg) work capacity. Its height when raised is 46" (117 cm), and when lowered is 34" (86 cm).
Shipping weight is 28 lbs (13 kg).

Very hard to follow instructions
from Frisco TX
Comments about Sculpture House College Modeling Stand:
It was very hard to follow the instructions, we thought some pieces were missing because the instructions are not clear about the pieces and the procedures. I recommend that the instructions come with more details and pictures.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

model stand is a better maquette
from San Jose, CA
The design and fabrication of this stand is very minimal. The rolling, especially with artwork on it, is lacks confidence. The shaft needs to have a bearing or at least a washer, otherwise it squeals terribly when turning the piece, which provides a nice ear splitting interruption during demos. For its price, other products can be found that are far better. In fact, I would build my own before purchasing another.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Nearly perfect, mine has a slight flaw
I've used this product in the past many times, it's typically the best of it's kind, only issue with this particular one that I got this time is the platform itself is ever so slightly out of level (approximately 1-2 degrees) it's not worth the exchange hassle for such a minor deviation, but no modeling stand should be out of level, ever, especially at it's cost.

Do Not Buy This Stand!
from grayson, ga
Save your money and shop for another stand. What a dissapointment! I bought this thinking it should be heavy-duty, since it is made with a steel base. The legs are crooked and the wheels must be turned in all the same direction, otherwise the stand is uneven and wobbles. The upper and lower guide plate holes are too large for the steel shaft causing the top to wobble, and the upper and lower guide plate holes are also misaligned making the top sit at an angle. A total piece of junk!
