So far, so good!

Comments about Sculpture House Boneware Moist Clay:
I am just trying out this clay this year as I have been having mold issues with the clay I used to use and had used for years. So, only time will tell how this one will work for me. I am hopeful!

When I ordered clay they were originally out of the clay that I had originally ordered, but after talking to the product advisors they recommended the boneware clay. It was camparible in price and did not require a kiln. The clay is great! It is a moist clay that can be handbuilt and air dried. Very easy to work with. I teach PreK-5th grade and each student loved it. They shipped it to my school faster than I expected and everyone was happy. Their service is top notch. I brag about Blick art supplies both in customer service and price. They will even match prices.

strong and durable
By plays with clay
from wheaton, Illinois
My daughter and I like to make plaques and ornaments with this clay. Its strong and durable. One or two of our finished pieces have been dropped (on carpet) and banged around and they have survived no worse for wear. One of the strongest, if not the strongest air dry clay I have ever used. I have no problem recommending this productOn the con side, it does tend to dry fast so, working fairly quickly is advisable. Painting this clay with acrylics can also be iffy. I find if you slightly thin the paint it will adheres better. Shrinking of finished pieces is comparable to other clays, no big deal.Strong and solid choice for durable finished pieces.

Great for a Beginner
from Las Vegas, NV
I used this to make a mini bust. This was my first sculpture and it's not perfect but this clay worked wonderful. When I went to the store to find some air-dry clay to play with, I was actually looking for a different brand than this. They were all out of what I wanted so I bought this instead. It was inexpensive and since I've never done any sculpting or modeling I didn't want to spend a lot. The clay was easy to use and worked great. I didn't have any problems with it at all. I'm definitely going to buy some more of this clay and I'll probably try their other kind of clay as well(the claystone kind).

Excellent traditonal clay
from New York, NY
This is an excellent product that is used in the best sculptural tradition. There is no substitute for traditional water-based clay and every box Ive purchased is as uniform as the previous one, no surprises. For the experienced artist,it must have an armature for any significant height or very thin sections. For the amateur: it must be kept wet until a cast is taken OR your work cannot have any internal support to begin with if the finished work is left in clay.

Pretty disappointed, wouldn't purchase
from Boston, MA
I used this clay to create a sculpture project, and ultimately had to toss the completed project when it dried, because this clay was so weak and brittle the whole piece just fell apart. It's a lower-priced clay, but ultimately unusable, so certainly not worth purchasing.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
