Comments about Scratch-Art Rubber Brayers:
This brayer does not roll. For mono types and gelli plate prints I recommend you buy a more expensive brayer. There are few choices in a 2-2 1/2 " brayer. This one is not good.
Merchant response: We're sorry to hear that you received a brayer that doesn't roll as it should. One of our Customer Care Representatives will be contacting you so we can take care of this for you.

Not quite up to Par

I purchased 7 of Scratch-Art soft rubber brayers (and 7 Blick brand hard brayers, they are great!) for a class on print making. Of the 7 Scratch-Art soft rubber brayers only 3 worked, the other 4 would not roll. The roller would get caught on the end that holds the roller on. The ones that worked, worked great, if I could guarantee that I would get working ones then I would order again. Overall not consistent product quality to recommend this product.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Great for block prints/affordable price
By Art Instructor

I purchased one of these for each student in my class since they were affordable (compared to Speedball). I love Speedball quality, but I just couldn't afford to purchase one for each student, even with discounts and bulk pricing. But this little brayer worked great and was more than adequate for our classroom use. Even though I purchased the "soft" rubber brayer, they are a little harder than the Speedball soft rubber ones. The handles aren't fancy, but they are comfortable and work well enough. I made a block print using hard linoleum and intaglio ink to test them. The brayers were easy to load, and the ink went on nice and smooth and coated evenly. These are surprisingly sturdy, and the ink easily washes off the rubber with soap and water. Their small size also makes them easy to store. For the price, these are a solid value.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
