I need this tape every few months - Blicks is always fast and has exactly what I want. This tape fits into into ATG 700 gun which I use to make greeting cards. It's the best tape and I never have any problems with it.

Used in framing pictures and matting. Began to frame my own pictures because it was more cost efficient. Called several local frame shops to see what the used and this was the one they recommended. One frame shop said its the only one that lasts, others break to easily. It offers a variety of tape options: 1/2 inch, 3/4 inch and even 1/4 inch if you purchase the adapter kit. Offers versatility from scrap booking, kids school projects, to matting and framing. If your needs change this will do the job, your not going to have to invest in another ATG gun because it handles the common tape sizes. If you don't use it much then by all means buy a cheaper version but chances are this will last. I still think however that it is somewhat over priced but if you pay in the 50 dollar range I think its worth it.

This is the most economical tape gun for paper crafting. Although I've read some people think it's pricey, the small ones run out of tape after only a few projects. The roll of 36 yds lasts a long time. I found that by threading the end into the slot ( not wrapping it around as instructions say) and just leave it, the roll moves smoothely all the way to the end. Also, I noticed that as the roll nears the end, it did not roll easily- simply fix. I emptied the gun, sprayed a little lubricant on it, wiped it down and it rolls all the way to the end. Also helpful using 1/2" tape, take out one of the adapters. The tape holds securely and very easy to use.

I'm a Custom picture Framer. I've used one of these for over 10 years and it's still going strong. It takes me less than a minute to reload the tape. I've run thousands of feet of tape through it. I love it.

Directions are pathetic. Don't waste your time with this. The company that sells this product to Dick Blick should be ashamed of it's inadequate and pitiful directions. Dick Blick should require better directions and pictures. The gun itself is not that bad, but the directions would stop me cold. What a waste of tape and time. YUCK!

You don't know what you are missing if you don't have one.
I know it may seem crazy to like a tool this much... but it is awesome. I give one to all my student teachers and as graduation gift- I may seem like a lame gift when first opened- but everyone is converted once they use it.

I use this gun everyday at work as a custom framer. It's best use is for mounting the paper to the back of the frame for a sealed dust cover. Can also be used for mounting multiple mats together so they stay in place, mounting a foam core spacer mat, or float mounting artwork (as long as you are using the acid free version of the tape). I am buying one for use at home.
