I have not used this form of paint before and I am very pleased with it. It is easy to use out of the tube and mixes well with water if so desired.
The brush is a nice quality and size.

I'm not really experienced in gouache so there is probably a better product out there, however, for my purpose- a basic primary set of gouache to mix for a beginning color class- this was perfect. Exactly what I needed for a terrific price, in fact, I'm placing another order.

I have been dabbling in art journaling and like to do backgrounds on my watercolor paper before adding collage and penwork. These watercolors give me a wide range of color to work with and the price is fantastic!

I am using French School Opaque Watercolors for a fashion illustration class. The primary colors mix well to the color wheel, are bright, and the paints don't salt up, crumble, or show variations from one box set to the next. In other words, they are consistent, which is favorable considering the trouble my students have had with other brands of student grade watercolors. The inexpensive cost is also very important for college students right now (March 2010).
