Sargent watercolor crayons are excellent for elementary students. They are easy to use and not as messy as regular watercolors. Many of my students had never used watercolor crayons and were excited to try something new.

I am beginning in Watercolor. I have limited my time to one half hour each day to "capture" a small glimpse of art. These crayons allow me to color and then paint my projects quickly and with precision painting with real paint doesn't afford me just now!

I teach art in grade schools. These are great for the younger grades. They are familiar, like normal crayons but turn into "magic" crayons when you brush them with water. The colors are bright and blend easily. We usually draw first with a normal crayon and then color with these. They even work to shade with for the older grades. The color is much better and more intense than the watercolor pencils.
