When used on acrylic gesso, the graphite paper is very difficult to erase. Regular pencil eraser (pink pearl type) doesn't do much, a white plastic eraser creates bad smears. A kneaded eraser will erase it eventually after lots of scrubbing but won't eliminate the smears made by the other erasers (alas).

I used this for pumpkin carving this year (we take pumpkin carving very seriously in our house!) The blue color was perfect for contrast against the orange pumpkin, and the pattern transferred seamlessly, I've never used better transfer paper. The transfer did not smudge or bleed, even though the pumpkins were damp, and as for removal, simply wipe off. I wish they sold this type of product as a pencil for when I freehand.

I found out about the wax free transfer paper while I was taking a portrait drawing class. We were so enthused about our drawing results that some of us wanted to transfer our drawings to watercolor paper or canvas so that we could paint them. This product was suggested as an easy way to do the transfer without marking our paper or canvas with a bunch of black marks. I ordered it and have used it extensively for that purpose. The transferred image is dark enough to see but easily coverable by paint. I have found that the transfer paper is also re-usable several times and every image comes out clearly.

This paper not only transfers your lines, but also transfers your fingerprints everywhere you touch. It's easy to erase off a glossy surface, but is a mess on everything else. If you're transferring a design onto a finished background, (lettering on a sign for example) you may need to repaint your background over the mess.

I'm using this in a graphics arts class. It's very easy to erase the marks it leaves, and makes a nice sharp, easily seen line.

This is the first time I used this product. For some reason I thought it would be like the transfer paper I have been using which is blue and when water touches it, the lines disappear. It is clean; there was a nice clear sharp line, however, water in no way affects this so you are forced to erase it and that is self-defeating with watercolor since I do not want to mar 300lb arches paper. Perhaps in yellow it would not show, but I doubt it.
