Did not transfer easily. Took to much pressure to transfer onto canvas and was not dark enough. Prefer the old kind of graphite transfer paper I bought 20 years ago.

The Graphite paper is perfect for my needs as a woodworker. I can go directly from a paper patern to the wood without making a template first. Most of what I do is "one of" so I don't need a shop full of templates.
This product is easy to work with and I appreciate the no smudge factor as I have large heave hands.
I recomend this graphite paper to all my friends who do similar work.

I used this graphite transfer paper to put a water reflective image on a 24"x18" 300# WATERCOLOR PAPER, of the Three Sisters mountain range of central Oregon. It gave me a soft clear image AND didn't smear.

I've been an architectural illustrator for over 40 years. In the studio, we most often made our own transfer paper with mechanical pencil shavings and rubber cement thinner spread on a good quality tracing paper. Occasionally we would use Saral which worked well. This is a new age, no one sharpens mechanical pencils anymore. Hmmm. So, I read some reviews and decided to try Sally's. This time around, I'm painting acrylics on gesso board with a orange brown ground. I laid the transfer paper down under a bond paper enlarged photograph. Using a Zebra fine line red ball point pen required very light pressure to get a nice medium line. Here's the good part. Since I'm using Atelier Interactive Acrylics, I was able to apply a coat of their fast/fixer directly over the transfer lines without smearing them. Now I can paint over the lines without disturbing them. How good is that!

I needed to transfer an image onto stretched canvas. I first tried Saral Graphite Transfer Paper. It gave me a very, very soft line on the canvas and required a lot of pressure. I wanted a stronger line. I bought Sally's, which is made by the same company, but decided to give it a try. I got much better results which were slightly bolder lines requiring less pressure.

If you are looking for lighter lines use Saral. For slightly bolder lines I recommend Sally's. I think it's a better grade of transfer paper. (Use a spray workable fixative before painting over the graphite linework or it will bleed into the paint.)

I bought this based on reviews. It was a mess- graphite everywhere except the tracing I did. I thought I had used the wrong side it was so ineffective. After pressing so hard I thought i was going to dent the hard wood I was working on it finally showed up a little. Of course, I wasn't happy with the result, and it did not erase easily. I am so sad I wasted $ on this.
