Welcome to dickblick
Artists, writers, and illustrators reach for Pigma Micron to convey their personality, style, or ability, and to safeguard their work with the lasting quality of Pigma ink.
Pigma Micron pens are acid-free and archival, making them ideal for papercrafts, journals, illustration, crafts, or any application requiring precision and permanance.
Unlike dye-based ink found in most pens and markers, Pigma ink will not feather or bleed, even through the thinnest paper. Pigma ink is derived from a single pigment to ensure color consistency, and is fadeproof against sunlight or UV light. Pigma inks will not clog or dry out like most mechanical pens.
Pens are not refillable.

Favorite for pen & ink
By Desert Dweller

Comments about Sakura Pigma Micron Pen:
I do very detailed pen & ink and had a different favorite very fine pen in the past. The 2 dozen I bought dried out without ever being used while the Sakura pens I bought at the same time were still going strong. The ink and nibs are very smooth and I can verify that the ink is permanent, light fast and true india black. The old pens did a great job but Sakura pens also seal up tight and last! Plus, this set has the finest nib I have found in a disposable technical pen.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Always dependable product.

I use these pens every day for check writing and accounting purposes. They are hard to find and I go to Dick Blick to buy them.

Love everything about these pens. I diddle in the doodle, but I recently used these pens with Derwent Inktense using them on fine details on a roster's eye and the tiny feathers around this eye, what a super bang up idea which resulted in making the eye pop looking super relistic.
Best pen ever.
This pen is great for pen and ink with watercolor.

I love the 03 pen. It makes a good solid line, and isn't too big for "most" detail work that I do. I'm not all that fond of the 01, which is why I only gave four stars, btw, because the nib seems to, well, get raspy, I guess is a good work. It catches on paper that has any tooth to it at all, leaves a tiny spur on the nib which makes drawing with it difficult. I DO like the fact that it is so fine, tho, and is great on smooth paper for detail work. I bought this myself, so nothing to disclaim. I've bought both pens before and will buy them again.
Love my Pigma Microns
Pigm Microns are my go to pen for almost all my sketching. I have an assortment of sizes and colors though I tend to use 05 or 01 black or dark brown the most. Love that I can work with watercolors immediately. They are really waterproof.

I had been using the Copic Multiliner but apparently the company is having issues. Tried the Sakura and they seem to work the same. Time will tell if the points have a better or worse life expectancy.

I use these pens for pointillist style drawings. Ideally, I would like an even smaller point but this is the smallest available made today. Sometimes I shave the tip a bit to get the nib I want and it works very well for my needs.
