Welcome to dickblick
These flexible brush markers contain a dye-based transparent ink that blends easily to create a multitude of hues. They're great for students, graphic artists, designers, and illustrators.
Fine, medium, or bold strokes are easy to achieve, simply by varying the pressure on the brush nib. Use the Blender pen to create seamless washes and color gradations.
Koi Coloring Brush Pens are odorless, ideal for those with chemical sensitivities. The ink is not waterproof or fade-resistant.

The colors are so vivid!
Bright colors; not great on blending
from Northeast Ohio
Out of three brands I tested, this one came out in the middle. I like that the colors stay vibrant when blending them out. However, the line I lay down doesn't completely blend out, leaving a slightly noticeable mark.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
Nice, But Not The Best
These are nice to paint with but in my opinion they are not as easy to work with as the Tombow bushes. The Tombow is more like an actual brush tip whereas the Koi are felt. I like the way the Tombows lays down the color a little better. But overall these are pretty good to work with and I don't regret purchasing them...I just will not be using them as much as the Tombow brushes.

I always have need for nice grey colors with my work. These markers really make adding the warm and cool grey tones easy and fun. They cover nice and even and blend extremely well with a water brush. I really like Sakura's products and these are no exception. I have no idea how long the tips will last because they are new but I've already used them on a couple paintings. They work well with W&N Watercolor Markers. Probably wouldn't use them on large pieces but great for small watercolor pieces or perhaps for those of you who do stamping and similar crafts that involve watercolor. So far, I am very happy with these.

Joy to use
I love the versatility of the water colors! I can use a blender pen or water brush to spread color. I love the vibrant colors and how smoothly they go on. Great buy!

I use the pens for preliminary sketches and for quick sketches whilst out and about in a "visual diary".
I can't get enough of these
from Pawling New York
Well I saw a demo of these on you tube with Joanne Fink and I was sold . I was so excited when they arrived in the mail and from the second I tried them they were everything she said vibrant blendable great with the water brush ! They are almost like having a water color set with you, I just dotted my scrap paper like a pallet and and used my water brush to color in some art work and wow the colors are so vibrant. My only disappointment is that I could only afford the 12 pack I want them all!
I love these pens
from new york
The nib on them is really nice quality. I use these pens mostly for linework, they're waterproof and the nib is flexible enough to get varying line width but stable enough to be able to control it. I ordered these along with some other brush pens (zig art and graphic twin and some others) and I like these most.I'd say to buy one and see if it suits your needs and meets your expectations.
