Welcome to dickblick
These flexible brush markers contain a dye-based transparent ink that blends easily to create a multitude of hues. They're great for students, graphic artists, designers, and illustrators.
Fine, medium, or bold strokes are easy to achieve, simply by varying the pressure on the brush nib. Use the Blender pen to create seamless washes and color gradations.
Koi Coloring Brush Pens are odorless, ideal for those with chemical sensitivities. The ink is not waterproof or fade-resistant.

Comments about Sakura Koi Coloring Brush Pen Sets:
Rich color. Able to adjust the intensity of the color a little by adjusting the pressure on the pen. I'm an amateur, so I'm using the pens for personal art projects.

I recomend this to anyone!

I got the 6-pack of grays. The pens come in 6 cool colors that not only color perfectly on their own and stand out on a paper (even though thye don't look like it), but also add great shadows to existing colors on the paper. I used them to add shading to markered images I made in the past and the colors really look like great shading. I even tried them on pencil drawings and they looked fantastic. I've even gotten into the habit of using only these pens to add color to an image. I'd say they add a nice contrast to simple black and white images. I haven't used them much so I don't really know how long they'll last, but when they do run out I'll definitely buy more. These are also my first and only gray pens of the sort and the only things I use for shading at the moment, so I can't really compare to other brands.

When I saw the price on this set I could not resist. They are an awesome set of pens and the colors are gorgeous.
Would buy again

Usually I'm pretty bad with watercolors when using a brush, it tends to get messy for me. I really liked these because of how easy they are. I dab these on, and use a brush to blend out. Less messy and more control. You have to work fast, if it dries I find it's harder to blend them.

They run out quickly. I agree the cap and colors do not match up nor are they suitable for fine tip work - but they are true brush tips with no bleeding or blotting. When new, very clean lines and fun to work with.Fragrance Free.

I love Sakura products, so was excited to see this new marker set. These markers have single brush tips which make them very good for filling color, not so good for fine line work. The colors are rich, however, both the names and cap colors for some colors don't match up...e.g. light brown is actually darker than brown. The largest set does provide a nifty color guide you can color in so you can use that as a more realistic guide than color names and cap colors. These markers were pretty good on smoothly adding color. They don't seem to blend well (I didn't buy the blender marker which is sold separately)as all the water-based markers I've had usually blend easily. Knowing this lets you achieve some different effects, but makes it hard to blend new colors. They bleed a tiny bit when used on Bristol smooth--haven't tested on other papers yet. These will be useful for fill coloring and achieving some smooth, muted effects, but I would not select this set as your only or main set of markers.
