Glazing Medium — Based on vegetable oil, Cobra Glazing Medium improves flow and affects the degree of transparency of Cobra Water Mixable Oil Colors. This medium is very fat and should be applied in the last few layers of a painting. It increases sheen and durability of the paint film without affecting drying time. Cobra Glazing Medium can be thinned with water.

Painting Medium — Based on vegetable oil, synthetic resin, and water, Cobra Painting Medium makes Cobra Water Mixable Oil Colors smoother and fatter, allowing the paint to be smeared out easily and the brushstrokes to become less distinct. It also increases sheen and the durability of the paint layer without affecting drying time. Cobra Painting Medium can be mixed with water and still applied in the layered painting technique very well.

Painting Paste — Cobra Painting Paste is a colorless medium that can be mixed with water-mixable oil paint in any ratio. The paste is as thick as Cobra Water Mixable Oils and can, therefore, be described as a water-mixable oil paint without pigment. Use it to increase the paint's volume for impasto techniques with no color change. The more paste that is added, the more transparent the paint becomes. Depending on the type of pigment, this will not be visible in thicker layers. Cobra Painting Paste can also be used to decrease the color intensity of paints, which is particularly important in the alla prima technique when colors with a highly divergent color intensity are being mixed with one another in a painting. The addition of painting paste to a stronger color makes the color's intensity less prominent. Always mix Cobra Water Mixable Oils and Cobra Painting paste with a painting knife.

Painting Varnishes — Cobra Painting Varnishes offer protection against aging, dust, and dirt. When applied to thoroughly dry oil paintings (between 6 to 12 months after painting has been completed), Cobra Painting Varnishes give paintings an even sheen, adhere well to the underlying paint layers, and will not crack or yellow. Apply in a well-ventilated room. Both the painting and the varnish must be room temperature when using. The varnish dries within a few hours. Dry layers of varnish can be removed even after many years, using odorless white spirits. Cobra Painting Varnishes are based on synthetic resin, odorless white spirits, and matting agents (with the exception of the gloss varnish). They are offered in a Gloss, Matte, or Satin finish.
