Welcome to dickblick
We recommend these brushes especially for senior, retirement, and adult care centers, where hand comfort is of great importance. Adult students prefer a softer brush fiber, and they are likely to be more compliant with brush care directions than younger students, allowing for a slightly higher cost per brush.
Designed with comfort in mind, these economical brushes are as good to your hands as they are to your wallet. Durable Golden Taklon stands up to classroom abuse and works well with acrylics, watercolor, and tempera. The handles are made of thick acrylic and have a soft rubber grip, making them easy to hold.

Comments about Royal Langnickel Soft Grip Golden Taklon Flat:
For the price these are great brushes. I wanted to use them for oil, but they aren't working for my style of painting. I'll keep playing around to see if I can use them for other mediums.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Workhorse brushes for acrylic, tempera, gouache, oil
from Chicago, IL
Inexpensive and hold up to lots of use. I've used these with heavy body, soft body and high flow acrylic, oil, gouache and tempera paint. The brushes have kept their stiffness and spring even after a year of use. I run my fingers over the bristles a few times and then wash them before the first use. I've not had an issue with the bristles coming out into a painting.
I would buy this product again.

They are great brushes for decorative painting for me. They keep their stiffness and clean easily.
Lost several bristles upon first use
I've only used these brushes once. I bought them for use with oil paints. My painting is covered in bristles that fell out of the brush. I am new to painting and didn't want to spend a fortune on brushes. So I opted for a cheaper options but I'm still pretty disappointed in these brushes. Also the little soft grips slide around a bit and not fixed in place.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
Merchant response: Many new brushes will drop bristles upon initial use. To help minimize the impact, we recommend washing brushes at least once before first use.

I love these cheap brushes
from Portland, OR
My guilty pleasure. I love these brushes for WSO and acrylic. They are smooth and springy like more expensive synthetic bristles. They clean easily. And they are really cheap! You won't get points for cool brushes with your artist friends, but they are nice for the money.
