Brushes looked great upon first inspection. I had high hopes. It turned out that the bristles are terrible. I will be luckey to get more than a few weeks of painting out of each brush. My brushing style is impressionism, but I paint with a light touch.
I always had great results with Simmons brushes. Something is wrong. I suspect this is cheap product that was outsourced to a different company

I paint strictly in traditional oils and up until now have not found anything but hog bristle brushes to work for me. All other synthetics I have tried failed on one level or the other. Well, after getting a few of these brushes after someone made the recomendation, I think I am hooked! Time will tell as just started using them, but I really like these so far. Not ready yet to move completely over to synthetic as some qualities of these are almost too smooth for my tastes, being a painterly painter. But, I think I can work with these. If they go off key, I will update this review.

I love these brushes! I've never played with the most expensive brushes, but I do know that these are much much better than the cheap brushes I used to play with in high school or the $10 department store ones. The hair is firm but flexible, the shape stays in place and the hairs don't go all over the place as the cheap ones. Very light, comfortable, feel as good as they look. If you're a beginner, you don't need more than these (I actually made a very cool work with them!).
(Note: I'm only starting to play with paint (acrylic) so don't take my comment to seriously!)

Bought these from a local art store. Person at the store sait they'd be the last ones I'd ever buy. After about a month of regular use, they splayed, and I haven't been able to use them since. Basically useless.
I am very particular about keeping paint out of and away from the ferrule, but the still degraded like a cheap winsor and newton synthetic.

I'm not sure what the person was talking about in one of these reviews about the paint clumping up in these brushes. I think they either don't know how to use a brush correctly or using the wrong paint. These brushes are seriously a great deal. A lifetime guarantee, solid construction, great performance, and a price far below average, makes these brushes an unbeatable deal. I have supplemented some of the sizes not available with Winsor and Newton Artist Acrylic brushes, which feels like identical synthetics. I love these brushes also but lack the guarantee that the Titanium brushes offer.

I highly recommend these to everyone, old and new, novice and pro.

I first bought this brush from a local art supplier for full retail price and found that it was a very fine brush for all my painting needs. Then I found them online here and have saved lots of money. I just love the way the brush moves across the canvas. I dry brush and scrub a lot and these brushes take it nicely. I do keep them and all my brushes very clean. The short handle versions don't have the spring or stiffness that their longer handled ones have so I don't tend to use them as much. I do wish they came in smaller sizes though. I only use filbert brushes for all my paintings.

Keeps their shape, sharp and controllable, easy to clean. Love the short handled ones. Wish they had smaller brushes too.

PROS:
* Synthetic bristles, so no animals are harmed to produce these.
* Stiff, springy bristles are nice for thicker oil and heavy body acrylic paint.
* Coarser bristles leave visible brush strokes, if you're into that.
* Decent points on rounds, although not as sharp as a sable/taklon brush.

CONS:
* Bristles clump together and leave wide gaps in the brush surface, which is particularly annoying on the flats, shaders and filberts. I don't use those brush tips as much because it's annoying to massage out the bristles to get rid of the gaps.
* Bristles leave grooves in the paint, which may not be what you want if you're used to soft, smooth sable/taklon brushes.
