Every Robert Simmons Signet brush is handmade using high-quality Chungking hog bristle, interlocked and deep-set in an extra-long, seamless, nickel-plated ferrule. Long beech wood handles are treated with five coats of lacquer.

Ideal for acrylics and oils, these resilient brushes are guaranteed for life.

Signet Pack K — This set contains three long handle Chungking bristle brushes: Flat #4, Bright #6, and Round #1.

Signet Pack L — This set contains three long handle Chungking bristle brushes: Flat #2, Bright #4, and Filbert #5.

Signet Pack M — This set contains four long handle Chungking bristle brushes: Round #0, Bright #2, Filbert #3, and Flat #6.

Signet Pack N — This set contains four long handle Chungking bristle brushes: Filbert #2, Filbert #6, Flat #1, and Round #2.

Series 43, Egbert — The egbert brush is a longer version of the filbert. It holds more color, and it flexes. With skill, it can generate stylized strokes and curves that are not possible with any other brush.

Note — Brush sizes are not standardized. The length and width of a brush of a given shape and size varies considerably by manufacturer. Since fine art brushes are handmade, expect some variation even among brushes from a given manufacturer.

The Broad brush in this series is very nice. Broad yet not over thick, which is nice as it doesn't eat a lot of paint that would be left unused on thicker brushes of the same size. One caution, however, is the first brush I bought (not thru Dick Blick) is constantly shedding so there is some quality control issues. But, the other two I have bought thru DickBlick are just fine.

I have about ten of these brushes and I'm a huge fan. They are well made, comfortable, and seem like they would cost much more. The only complaint I can come up with is that they occasionally lose hairs on the canvas, but not nearly like many other brushes in this price range that I have tried.

I use these for oil painting and they take paint very well and are easy to handle. I've had some of these brushes for quite a while now and they've held up beautifully. Definitely would recommend!!!
