Welcome to dickblick
This pure white mixing tray from Richeson is made of heavy-duty plastic that is easy to clean. The 7½" (19 cm) diameter tray features a large well in the center and 10 wells around the edges, with brush rests along the outer edge.
The tray also comes with a see-through plastic cover that allows artists to view and preserve paints between painting sessions.

Good for the classroom

Comments about Richeson Round 10-Well Tray with Cover:
These paint trays have worked well for my high school art students. The paint will stay wet in tray for about 1-2 weeks if students put enough paint in the well and put the lid on completely. The downside is the lid is a little tricky to get on and off- even for high school students so they sometimes tear the lids, which are made out of think plastic. Even with this issue they are still a good way to handle paint if you have large classes and many students- I use them year to year and they hold up if students are careful with them.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

I love the 10-well Tray with Cover
from Spokane, WA
I was pleased with my discounts and the 10-well covered tray was a tremendous value for the money and so easy to wash! Thanks, Blick!
With a cover these are perfect to carry a small palette of watercolors to class. I use a round plastic microwave plate for mixing. These two items don't take up a lot of table space.
Handy Trays with Covers

I used these to make up watercolor palettes for my young grandkids using liquid paints that I allowed to dry out. The covers keeps them intact when not in use. The palettes sit nice and flat on a broad base so the work well for the kids.
Good For What It Is
from New York, NY
An inexpensive plastic well tray that gets the job done. Okay so it's nothing fancy... But at the end of the day it serves it's purpose and costs almost nothing.

This item is perfect for mixing small amounts of acrylic paints or inks. Minimum waste and easy cleanup.lin
ok for the price, but
The tray is sturdy plastic and worth the cost. The lid amounts to packaging for the tray and is flimsy and is difficult to remove without breaking, bending or otherwise damaging it. For something that costs less than a cup of coffee, I suppose it's worth it to have a small palette. There is an annoying inventory control sticker right in the center of the lid that cannot be removed easily without using solvents and even then, by the time you've scrubbed it off, the lid is ruined; Common sense was not used in the design and packaging for this product - inventory management would do well to put stickers on the bottom where it doesn't matter. It's a stretch to call this a tray with a cover... it's a tray with packaging that resembles a lid and they put a permanent sticker on it to annoy you further, but it's only a couple bucks so no harm done, right...
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Smaller that expected

We actually ended up sending these back, they were the wrong size and the clear plastic lids that came with them were much too thin and flimsy. We got what we paid for they were extremely inexpensive

And the lid fits!
By Jolene, high school teacher

The lid actually snaps on and off without tearing. I am a high school art teacher and have tried numerous products over the years. The lids on these palettes comfortably slides on and off the paint tray and the product holds up to the heavy usage in my classes.
