Comments about Richeson Aluminum Brush Washer:
I am rating this "average" and "so-so" just because 1. the pail part is very shallow and, for me, not terribly usuable as result, and 2. it is constructed to hold brushes with thinnish handles only. Many of my brushes have thick handles and this item is not adequate for them. I think that, overall, this product may be fine if you work in small watercolors.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

honestly? bad deisgn
meh. there's no way you can use this without at least attaching it to a table. the base it not heavy enough to balance the brush holder.in order to be able to use it, you will need to insert in into a big and heavy enough container, which makes the whole idea seriously silly

I got this a few months ago and only tried to use it a couple of times with large brushes, and they would pop out. Today I tried to soak a bunch of brushes of different sizes, and only my smallest #2 brush would stay in. All the rest, even the medium sized ones would pop out. I've used other brush washes with coil holders before and never had this problem. This is really frustrating because it just isn't doing its job at all.
Merchant response: We're sorry to hear that this brush washer isn't working as it should. Although there is a limit to the thickness of handle the coil can accommodate, with most brush brands the maximum size will be a size 16 or higher. Obviously that was not the case with the brush washer you received, and we apologize for that. One of our Customer Care Representatives will be in touch so we can take care of this for you.

brushes slip down
When I put the brushes into the slot they either slip down or pop out. Only a certain size works fine.
Merchant response: We're sorry to hear that this brush washer isn't performing as expected. Someone from our Customer Care Center will be reaching out via email to further assist you.
