Set of 6 Mediums — Includes one each Gloss Gel, Matte Gel, Gloss Polymer, Matte Polymer, Retarder, and Gesso.

Gesso — This is an economical acrylic gesso that can be used directly from the jar or thinned with up to 20% water to seal surfaces before painting. It dries to a matte, white, opaque finish with a slight tooth that can be sanded to provide a smoother surface.

Gloss and Matte Gel Mediums — These are thick buttery acrylic mediums and are ideal for extending color as well as creating impasto glazes and textures. Milky in the jar, they dry clear and are non-yellowing.

Gloss Polymer Medium — This is a pourable fluid medium used for extending color and increasing the flow of acrylic paint. It is the medium of choice for wet on wet blending and glazing, and is great for mixed media and collage work. It is water-resistant and non-yellowing.

Matte Polymer Medium — This pourable, fluid medium imparts a lightly toothy matte finish to the paint and can be used to extend color or as a clear coat or transparent ground. When mixed with paint, it decreases gloss. It retains brush stokes and subtle textures, and is water-resistant and non-yellowing.

Retarder — This medium will slow down the drying time so you have more time to create. It is a waterbased product that can be mixed with color and medium at up to 15% to allow for greater manipulation and color-blending.
