Bought these for my daughter and she loves them. I have used this brand in the past and can say it is a good product at a great price.
Great for Beginner Class

Ordered these for the art class. The colors are intense and good value for the price
Great paint set for any student's budget
My goal for 2017 is to begin my watercolor journey which has been on my to due list for the last 25 years. This paints are a great value for starting that journey. The pigment is good with strong hues and wide variety of colors. This set will go a long ways in helping me to develop my skills in watercolor.

Rainbow of Fun!

I wish I could say more about the product but it was a gift, so I don't know what to say. Blick service got it there before Christmas, even though the original delivery date was after Christmas, so I am DELIGHTED for that!
Good paints, excellent price -- with reservations...
from Mt. Shasta, CA
First, these are clearly student-grade paints. The pigments are not wildly intense and the colors tend to muddy a bit when mixed. That said, they're bargain-priced, and the sets come in a fairly intelligent range of colors (why does everyone force white and black on us?). I think they're a great way to introduce newbies and students to tube watercolors (which demand a little bit more of you when you're setting up).Aside from the pigments and (probable) lack of lightfastness, the only real downside is their unwillingness to reconstitute after drying on my palette. Even after a good re-wetting, I really had to work at breaking down the rock-hard clumps of pigment, some of which never did reconstitute. I first bought these after a couple years away from watercolors. My paints were misplaced in a recent move and I was starting from scratch. At these prices I figured I had nothing to lose; I bought a set of 18 and started having fun again. Unfortunately, I also started hungering for more vivid colors, and these became something my daughters used.I notice a lot of reviews are from teachers, and I think these would fit that market well. I recognize the limitations of these Reeves watercolors but I also recognize the simple fact they're way, way cheaper than the alternatives -- and probably a better choice than the super-cheap pan sets.
Nice set for beginners

Buy these all the time for my students. The price and the quality are great for beginners. Pigments are not quite strong enough for advanced students
