I purchased the 12 color set to give them a try, as they are very inexpensive. They are not of a very smooth consistancy and don't mix as well as some of the others of a similar price point that I've used in the past. These are good paints if you're purchasing for a child or someone new to painting, but I would not recommend these for an experienced artist.
