Welcome to dickblick
This hair comes from the Siberian and Manchurian Sable, better known under the name of Kolinsky. It is a small animal that lives in the coldest areas of these regions, giving it a very strong and dense hair, an ideal hair for watercolor. It has fantastic spring, snap, and color holding ability.
This watercolor brush has been carefully tested for professional designers and retouchers. It has a seamless nickel-plated brass ferrule, a short black polished handle, and a beige tip.

Best brush for botanical accuracy
from West Chester, PA
The quality is worth the price. The brush retains its point for a very long time, even with extensive usage. The belly holds just the right amount of water for continuous painting without having to reload frequently.
from Charlottesville, Va
I really like how fine of a point this brush has. It also holds paint really well so I don't have to reload it as much as other brushes I've used.
I love this brush
from Santa Cruz
This brush is extremely versatile. The extra pointed tip allows for extreme detail work, but the body holds a lot of paint.

Great for details or just creating a line that will go from razor thin to the width of the brush. Very responsive, I have brushes by the major premium brush makers and these are simply outstanding and quality and performance.
Wonderful brushes - prefer to Series 7
I use these brushes both for botanicals and looser watercolors. The point is incredible and the brushes versatile enough that I can use a #6 for almost anything but washes.

Great sharp tips. I recommend them them especially to watercolorists who need detail.
from Livingston, Montana
The long points on these brushes, I have sizes 0,1,2,3,4 &6 offer exceptional control and ease in work. I have tried other high end pointed rounds and these out preform all of them.

Still getting used to it
from Clermont, FL
I bought the size 7 round because I read that Queen Victoria used that size almost exclusively. I figured that the queen could have had any brush in the world, so I'll go with her choice. The brush definitely does hold a lot of paint. And the point is very springy - so much so that sometimes it sprays tiny dots of paint where they're not wanted. I'm assuming I'll conquer this problem with a little practice with the brush.
Fine detail work is no problem
Holds a great amount of paint. Keeps its point. Really fine details are easy with this brush
