Handmade and richly pigmented, R&F Pigment Sticks are comparable in quality to the finest tube oil paints. They have a lipstick soft consistency that gives them the same fluidity, subtlety, and durability of traditional oil colors.

R&F Pigment Sticks are handmade in small batches, carefully milled and molded using the finest natural wax, linseed oil, and pigment. There are no driers, extenders or other additives that are commonly used in industrial production.

Extremely portable, Pigment Sticks can be layered or mixed with traditional fine oil paints and mediums. They dry to a durable film, and can be used on any support proper for oil or encaustic painting. Small sticks are 38 ml, with approximately the same amount of pigment as a standard tube of artist oil paint, while large sticks are 188 ml.

Figure Drawing Colors, Set of 6 — Designed specifically for representing the figure, these warm, natural colors also work as beautiful Earth tones. This palette is especially appropriate for rendering effects of mass and atmosphere, and can be reminiscent of the reddish chalk drawings favored by Venetian artists of the 15th and 16th centuries such as Leonardo DaVinci. The set includes one ampersand board, six 38 ml pigment sticks in the following colors: Earth Deep, Earth Light, Ivory Black, Sanguine Earth Deep, Sanguine Earth Medium, and Titanium-Zinc White, packaged neatly inside an 6½" × 7½" (16.5 cm × 19 cm) cradled Ampersand Gessobord.

Metallic Colors, Set of 6 — Make your paintings sparkle with R&F's Metallic Pigment Stick Set. In addition to direct and spontaneous mark-making, these iridescent colors can be blended with others in your palette to add complexity, shimmer, and shine. Or apply them to the surface of your paintings and wiped to create a patina. The set contains one ampersand board, six 38 ml sticks in the following colors: Iridescent Gold, Iridescent Copper, Iridescent Bronze, Iridescent German Silver, Iridescent Silver, and Iridescent Pewter, packaged neatly inside an 6½" × 7½" (16.5 cm × 19 cm) cradled Gessobord.

Opaque Colors, Set of 6 — This is the perfect introductory set for this medium. Set includes one cradled Ampersand Gessobord 6½" × 7½" (16.5 cm × 19 cm), six colors in 38 ml sticks. Colors included are Titanium Zinc White, Cadmium Red Medium, Cadmium Yellow Medium, Cobalt Blue, Chromium Green Oxide, and Ivory Black.
