Quinten Gregory demonstrates in both watercolor and oil while using diagrams and examples to explain the use of the value scale and the differences in amateur and professional painting. 60 minutes.

Professional Realism, Volume 2 — In this DVD, Quinten Gregory shows how professional artists paint one of the most difficult things — water. This DVD contains a detailed analysis of several different types of water in both watercolor and oil techniques. 58 minutes.

Professional Realism, Volume 3 — Learn how the professionals paint skies, clouds, and atmosphere. This DVD features seven painting demonstrations with detailed explanations in oil and watercolor. 60 minutes.

Professional Realism, Volume 4 — This DVD shows how the professionals paint mountains and trees. Demonstrations show three types of mountains in both oil and watercolor. 60 minutes.

Can tell it was copied from an older version by the color quality. He is a great artist, needs more how to for us beginners, maybe I need to start from DVD 1 to get all the info I am looking for.

I found the information to be very useful, and a solid start for the type of painting, lakes, rivers and oceans. However, I felt that the information presented would have been more effective if the VHS the DVD was taken from had been color corrected before creating the DVD. Things are either very green or orange, and it's hard to tell if the color mix he is making is accurate. I will be ordering the rest of the DVDs despite the color problem.
