Great melting wax
I use this wax in my classroom to teach a batique lesson. It melts easy, stays in a liquid state long enough for my students to use and works great.

I'm using this for a mixed media project. I needed something that would hold thread and allow photo transfer. I think this'll do the trick.
Perfect for my needs

I needed something affordable, because part of the plan was to burn it. It irons and starches up beautifully. Superb packing fast shipping.

Worked Great for Batik
By Art Instructor
from Anderson, SC
I purchased several yards of this to do a batik project for my art class. It washed and ironed out nicely on high heat. I was able to cut 16"x16" squares evenly from this fabric, which made a nice sized print. I put a bordering stitch around the edges to keep it from fraying, but it really didn't fray readily, which is a plus when you're machine sewing the edges. The fabric was thin enough for the students to place their pictures underneath and copy it onto the fabric, but yet it has a nice, tight knit to it. It was easy to use pencil and permanent marker on it, too. It also erases easily if you use pencil. The fabric is lightweight, but easy to handle. We used the Jacquard Procion Dyes and Crayola Crayons to make our prints. They came out beautiful, and my students were very pleased with their work. I have also boiled some of the batiks, and the fabric did not shrink and remained soft. It takes the dye very well. I would most definitely purchase this fabric again. I would love for Blick to carry this in white.

Great Quality for your money
I like the thickness of the fabric and how close the threads or woven. I plan to use it for Batik.I would recommend this fabric for art projects or just making simple clothes to wear. I have never written a review for a product at Dick Blick Art Supplies, but I enjoyed this fabric so much that I had to write about it. The price is great!
