Make trays, plaques, planters, jewelry, and decorative pieces by embossing, tooling, repoussé, or overlay. This tooling foil cuts easily with household scissors or metal snips.
The copper can be antiqued to a slate, gray finish with liver of sulphur. The sheet may have a protective coating which can be removed with steel wool.

Comments about St. Louis Crafts Pure Metal Tooling Foil:
My only complaint is I couldn't get it out of the tube it came in. I had to cut away the tube, carefully as not to cut the aluminum, and split the tube in half. If it were rolled a little tighter and then sealed with some sort of plastic wrap, and then placed inside the tube, it should just slide out and make the process much easier.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

I have purchased this copper foil previously, and use often.
from Barnesville, Ohio
I emboss my calligraphy into the metal, and sell it at art fairs, and for special orders. It will soon be offered on my facebook page and website.

Great for students learning about texture

This is great tooling foil for teaching younger students about texture. It is a great value for how much you get. The only downfall is having to cut the large sheet into smaller sizes.
Professional quality !!
Will now return to Blick for all my art teaching supplies

nice weight not so thin it tears when working it with tools; not so thick that detail wok is difficult to achieve.

I bought this product for my art I class, and I have to say, even when the kids were lackluster about their subject matter they completely perked up to see the foil! It was incredibly easy to use, packaged well enough that I'm keeping it for storage purposes, and reasonably priced! It did have a flaw in that we couldn't really make it 100% flat, but for out purposes, that wasn't a problem.
just what I ordered

I use metal tooling foil with alcohol inks to make embossed art works. The silver allows all colours clarity. I first chose it instead of pewter by accident . I use it because I decide the length as it comes in a roll .
My much needed product
By Lifelong starving artist
I love this foil. It serves a specific purpose in my artwork and is something difficult to find in stores. It is thicker than what I see regularly in a craft store (at least in my area) and thinner than that found in hardware stores.
Exactly what I needed

Being used for Metal Art Work which Autistic Grand daughter creates for her craft booth. Teachers had introduced her to using just normal aluminum foil for this craft. This allows for much more creativity.
