One sharpener, two uses! The Prismacolor Pencil Sharpener features two blades for narrow and wide point sharpening. This sharpener works great with Prismacolor colored pencils, graphite, and Prismacolor Verithin pencils. Made in Germany, the blades sharpen pencils to a precise point.
A sliding cover keeps shavings from spilling and a transparent housing lets you see when the shavings receptacle needs to be emptied. The sharpener’s small design also makes it great for tucking into a bag or backpack.

Comments about Prismacolor Pencil Sharpener:
This is a great size. Not too big to take with me, not so small that I'll lose it in a bag. Once I figured out to open it to dump shaving, I appreciated that it won't open accidentally. Good quality. I appreciate the choice of sharpening angle, too.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

I love this sharpener. Looks great on my desk and functions flawlessly..Easy to use and empty. Love the two sharpening options.
Okay, this is a great sharpener. Does the job. However, I spent WAY too long trying to figure out how to open it! It said it no where on the package. After finally getting the lid off, it's still really hard to do. Maybe I just got a bad one, but it's still a great sharpener.

I bought this to sharpen my Prismacolors pencils/HBs and was extremely disappointed with the results. I've always used a small handheld sharpener and thought this would be an improvement and much easier on my hands. The canister size is fine and removing the lid to empty the shavings is easy enough. Unfortunately, sharpening both new pencils and my old ones to a point is impossible. The lead breaks and the wood shaft cracks after every sharpening attempt. It's wasting my pencils and I've gone back to my previous sharpener. My sharpener seems to be a dud and I bought mine based on reviews here!
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

The pencil sharpener offers a narrow or wider point . This is a great option which accommodates different styles of art one might be coloring.
