They erase without ruining the paper but they tend to smudge when erasing. The pencil that's being erased tends to stick to it.

Of course, I'd still like to find the magical eraser that can make ANY "course correction" disappear, but this one comes as close as any I've found. Does a beautiful, low mess job of "surface cleaning." Nice to have pricing that makes it easy to buy in bulk! (They last a long time, but this way I can have one stashed in various different spots for convenience... and break out a spanking new one with un-eroded corner points for getting into those tiny spots.) Thanks!
