A kneaded eraser is the standard in my drawing tools kit. I use it primarily for lifting smudges and small light unwanted marks. It also works well for erasing light layout lines on matte boards, leaving a clean surface. What it will not do well is erase a heavily laid mark. A great product assuming one uses light lines to begin with.

Use these for my students in class. They are good for the money. I generaly use larger ones for myself. But they are good quality.

I love this eraser! My art teacher supplied them to the students in our supplies, and they work so well at taking the value down a scale! Plus, sooooooo fun to play with!!! :)
The only thing I dont like about these is that they take out a good bit of color on them if you press hard, but thats not really a big deal :) DONT DROP YOURS ON THE FLOOR!!! Trust me!!!

This eraser is very good for pastel. You could get this anywhere but the price is good from Blick so I got a bunch of them for future use!

This eraser works like a charm....I only wish I had ordered a bigger one. That's the only reason I gave it 4 stars....otherwise, it would be a 5 star item!

This type of eraser is my very favorite. It will work on most surfaces and can easily be shaped to pick out tiny points where an unshapable eraser will take out too much. If it gets too full of lead, you can simply remove that portion and reshape what's left to do the job you need it for.

I bought 12 of the largest size, because I go through them rather quickly when using with pastels. ;) I use them to pull back the extra surface build up when I want to layer different colors. These erasers are soft and a pleasure to use. The price is good, too.
