Prismacolor Premier Colored Pencils are the most popular colored pencils we sell. Each colored pencil features a thick, soft core made from brilliant, light-resistant pigments to ensure smooth, rich laydown and color saturation.
The colors are easily blended, slow to wear, break-resistant, and waterproof. Each 3.8 mm core is enclosed in a round cedar casing that is lacquered to match the core.
Note — Manual sharpening is recommended for these pencils. Clogging can be prevented in electric sharpeners by periodically sharpening a graphite pencil to keep the blades clean.
Note — Set contents may occasionally vary from the colors listed.

I would always buy Prisma pencils for colored pencil art.
from San Bernardino, California
Comments about Prismacolor Colored Pencils:
Several of the pencils arrived with broken lead and the shipping cost seemed a bit high for a few light weight pencils.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

overall happy...one particular problem though
By brenda the colormaster
all of my pencils that i purchased were fine with the exception of the 2 dark greens, pc 908.... they would not sharpen, even using the proper prismacolor sharpener, and continued to break frequently...very disappointed with those two
I like the Prismacolor Pencils very much.

I don't know what this is.
Easy way to replace or fill in the needed pencils
from Winston Salem N.C.
I had a 132 piece set of Prismacolor Premier but decided to get the rest of the colors to complete the whole set. These are wonderful colored pencils. I have Rheumatoid Arthritis in my hands and the lead in these is soft enough that I don't need to apply too much pressure to the pencils and they don't hurt my hands.
Love these pencils!

Overall I love them! The colors, the smooth application.... Occasionally sharpening them leads to the tip breaking off, usually the same few colors. I have a great sharpener so maybe some pencils are softer than others.
Love the pencils!!

Love the fact that I can order single pencils.
Just what i needed at a great price.

Could not get these pencils anywhere else for that kind of price.
Excellent for shading. Great color choices.

Easy to use for desired results.
God, these are a dream to work with! The pigment is out of this world and the color selection is phenomenal. I love that the color names and pigments correspond accurately with those of their marker line. They blend smoothly and are saturated amazingly. I highly recommend using baby oil over wax-based blenders (super cheap with smooth, seamless blends). If you're unfamiliar with this method, please look it up, you won't be disappointed! You can get a very nice finished product (comparable to paints or markers).I've read that some users have had issues with sharpening and lead breakage due to off-center lead-placement. I've yet to have any serious issues, involving that. While some of my leads are off-center, I find that as long as I am not too over-zealous with my sharpening, that they sharpen just as well as any of my colored pencils. So it's a non-issue for me so far. I will definitely be buying more in the future.

I started an colored pencil art class and found out these are the best pencils to use for blending and just for the color choices due to their softer wax leads. So, I am very happy with them.
