I love these
By Yade Vanian
Comments about Prismacolor Col-Erase Pencils:
I like to draw with these ones. They are so soft and easy to erase. I tend to erase a lot so these pencils dont leave marks. The light gray one is my favorite. This is a most have for any portrait artist or cartoonist.

Luckily, I only purchased three of these pencils to try out and am glad I did not purchase the entire 24 pack set as I was initially going to do. These pencils do not erase. In fact, if you own the Prismacolor Verithins they look exactly like them. They erase the same amount off the paper as Verithins which is most, but not all, still leave color on your paper and are the same width circumference as them as well. I think they just smacked an eraser on the end of Verithins, changed the name, and marketed them erasable. I already have the entire set of 36 Verithins and they perform the same - had I known this I would have used my money elsewhere with Blick. Don't waste your money.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
Nice for Sketching, If Used Lightly
By The Perpetual Novice
I got one of these in light blue to try out as a sketching pencil; I thought it might be a fun change up from plain old graphite. I was right, for once: I really enjoy using the light blue as the first layer for a drawing. I have a heavy hand, though, so I have to watch that I don't layer it too thick. If you press very hard, it does become more difficult to erase, but that applies to pretty much any sketching pencil. As long as you keep the application light, you should be able to go back with the Col-Erase's eraser and get rid of any lines you don't want. I'm definitely thinking about buying more of these at some point, just to add a little more color to my sketching.

This is great for color drawing/painting. The erasing properties and the possibility of blending enables you for realism drawing/painting!Too bad thay had to backorder one color.
These are cool
These are interesting and fun to work with. they erase well but don't press to hard because you will still see he mark.
Prismacolor Col-Erase Pencils ~ love
Love the colors & the eraseability
Great for initial sketches
I love these pencils and use them for initial sketches under drawings and paintings. They're ideal because they erase easily and come in a variety of colors which easily blend into finished pieces. They smudge as well, which make them great for adding a tint to a mostly-finished piece. I'll definitely be buying them again once my current set is gone.
GREAT tool to sketch out my project!
from Wichita, KS
I love to use the col-erase to sketch out projects that I will color pencil paint. Graphite gets too messy. These either just blend in or can be erased. They erase easily! I do recommend using a vinyl eraser.
My Favorite Sketching Pencils
I prefer using these pencils to sketch out work over regular pencils. It is easy to draw light and erase really well. Sketching with them prevents creating a jumbled mess with your final lines. Only minor problem I have is they can't get super dark and they don't draw very dark on top of other colors from the same set.
