The Prismacolor Colorless Blender uses a special formula to soften hard edges, and to lighten or blend colored pencils. Use it for a smooth, blended look. With the Colorless Blender, colors can be layered on top of each other without cloudy build up.
This pencil is sold unsharpened.
Note — Manual sharpening is recommended for this pencil. Clogging can be prevented in electric sharpeners by periodically sharpening a graphite pencil to keep the blades clean.

Comments about Prismacolor Blender:
I was surprised how well it works with oil based colored pencils. I was expecting it to be waxy, but it is actually a bit abrasive and does a better job moving color around than the Lyra blender for oil based colored pencils. The CaranD'ache one seems to be better than both the Lyra and the prismacolor. The core is not centered in the pencil body, but it hasn't broken with sharpening.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

A must have for blending those yummy pencils.
OK - but I prefer the Lyra blender
from San Antonio, TX
I like this blender and I've used it with the prismas but my favorite blender is the Lyra. This is a solid blending pencil, though. Works great on wax pencils. I just find the Lyra is a bit softer and works well with all brands.

Have been using these for years!
By Retired HS art teacher
from Toledo, OH
I have used these colorless blenders for years with my classroom students and on my own work. I love the blendability of these pencils. When I would teach colored pencil drawing, I'd go over the basics and then introduce the blender pencils. They rocked my students' worlds as many had never used them before! By the end of our drawing unit, many students had worn their colorless blender pencil down to nothing!

Very sharp deal!

It is sharper than any manual one I've used. And should it lose its edge, it comes with replacement blades. It's also very compact. Great for traveling with your art supplies.
my sister called it a magic stick
By coloring addict girl
my sister and I have started coloring in adult coloring books, I have had years of art experience but my sister had none. I told her to get a blending stick and she called me after using it and called it a magic stick. This from my retired teacher sister.
