Stix are Slick!
By Dean the Artist
from Two Rivers, Wisconsin
I have been using the colored pencils of Prismacolor for some time and recently (about 5 years) I switched mainly to the art stix as they 1) cover bigger areas very fast, 2) you never have to sharpen them, and 3) they come in their own storage space. They do come straight from the manufacturer and the majority of the colors are not flat kinda bent, but they still work. Some coloring, if used for repeated times, do stain your hands, but that is why they invented soap! This is a great product and I highly endorse it!
Live these. They are really wonderful for young students. There is no other products that even compares
I use this for colored pencil art when I use Mineral Spirits. It stands up to lots of punishment. Covers the surface in much less time than just using Co9lored pencils.
Love these large Stix
I love the Art Stix for coloring large areas. Color quality and matching is excellent for use with the Prismacolor pencils. Very happy!
I like these Prismacolor Art Stix to lay down larger areas of color and to block in compositions. They have the same quality of pigment as the colored pencils and blend with them. You can do finishing with a combination of Art Stix and pencils. I like the fact that you don't have to stop & sharpen the Art Stix. You can use any technique you use with colored pencils with the Art Stix. They are a little pricey but no more so than other good art materials and they last longer than pencils.

Just what I wanted
from Burbank, CA
I have been hooked by the new adult coloring faze and I am just starting to work with pastels. I like the feel of these art sticks. I am trying them directly to page and scrapping some off to mix with water and "paint" them on to the paper. The consistency feels like I am going to be able to use them in many different ways.

*It's a lot of fun drawing w/Art Stix!! Art Stix is a perfect partner for Sharpies, which also dries instantly. i use it or both @ work.Unlike color pencils, they need no sharpening. Not brittle, no dust mess, n the color pigment stays on paper---unlike chalk pastels. The Art Stix sticks can draw really fine lines, as well as thick, heavy strokes, ...n can cover a big area w/just 1 stroke. One can achieve a variety of line qualities by playing w/pressure & by holding an Art Stix @ dif. angles...which also introduces the element of Unpredictability, something one can play to his/her advantage for greater creativity....* The "not so great" things about it----they get soft n melt under the sun. One's fingers can also get colored as well, so it's good to keep a moist paper towel nearby for quick wipe-cleaning of one's fingers, so there won't be unwanted fingerprints while handling drawings...

I appreciate Blick, my order came and I am so pleased
from Thatcher, Arizona USA
The college asked me to create a mountain scene for a Gila monsters cabinet. I was concerned about the fit between the Plexiglas and the wood of the cabinet. The clerk that talked to me knew about art and how the fit could work out. I was excited to purchase the roll of Strathsmore drawing paper and actually have used the PrismaColor sticks which are fantastic.I am so excited, I have worked with Utrecht before and have always been excited to get the order. Blick is like a candy shop for me and my sons who are artists. Good, good, stuff.
I would buy this again
from Wichita, Ks
This is perfect for my caricature work.
