Have had a short filbert, size four, for almsot a decade now. Even after all the time it took for the brush to start to lose its shape and fall apart, years and years, I still use this brush on almost every painting I do. It is versitile; I use it for under painting and distribiting the paint evenly, blending, dispite its large size I can use it for detail, and glaizing techniques.
When I have to-which I dont see hainvg to do so for a while-I will replace this brush with an identicle. great buy

I use it for oil painting. The hair was already out of shape even before I used it. But it still work fine when i apply paint on it. Not a bad buy if you're a student. Besides, it's quite cheap.

These brushes are decently priced and blend really well. But they don't last through more than 3 or 4 moderate sized paintings without getting kind of gross. I'll be looking for an alternative.

They were great for learning though.
