Welcome to dickblick
Stiffer than sable and softer than bristle, these beautiful, durable synthetic mongoose brushes are an excellent choice for heavy-bodied paints such as acrylic, oil and alkyd.
Perfect for blending, they respond to your touch, and shape to a fine point or fine edge. The multi-diameter filaments provide unsurpassed color-holding capacity, making these brushes a favorite among oil and acrylic painters.
All feature Princeton's distinctive Velvetouch handle for excellent grip and control, and seamless gold-tone ferrules.
Brush sizes — The length and width of a brush of a given shape and size may vary by manufacturer as brush sizes are not standardized. Since fine art brushes are handmade, expect some variation even among brushes from within a single brush line.

Princeton mongoose brushes
Comments about Princeton Series 6600 Imperial Synthetic Mongoose Bright:
These mongoose brushes are wonderful - they hold the paint well, and are good for blending as well as making clean edges.
Comments about Princeton Synthetic Mongoose Round Series 6600R:
This is a good utilitarian brush, good brush for the value.
High quality, tiny brush.
I really like the synthetic mongoose brush i own, so i purchased the princeton and raphael brushes to try. I bought size 12 to match the one I own. It is much much smaller than I expected. It looks to be the same as a size 4 from Silver Effects. For acrylic painting, though, it is not as soft as the nylon brushes advertised for acrylics, and it has wonderful spring. It is not quite as thin as I was hoping, in order to keep acrylics from building up in the ferrule. Cleanup was not as easy as I had expected. However, the bristles are uniform. And I think the quality is higher than the Raphael branded one I bought. It looks more like a bright than an angular.
Love These Brushes!
from Tacoma, WA
Both I and my painting buddy love these brushes and use them - along with bristle brushes - almost exclusively to paint our oil paintings. I tried the #16 Bright just to see if I would like it and ended up purchasing more than a dozen others. They are wonderful brushes that, with proper care & brush strokes, maintain their shapes & chiseled edges. Very happy here!
Angle Brights YES YES YES
from Placerville, CA
The angled brights in size 6 and 12 are two of the most useful and versatile brushes for oil painting. The synthetic mongoose holds a shape nicely, has good spring but is also soft enough to blend and glaze seamlessly. The price is right and the durability is fantastic. They stay soft as long as you take care of them. Conditioning with some kind of oil after cleaning seems to help. I replace my size 6 about every 4 months when the bristles are worn down to nubs and will re-order until the end of time.
Synthetic Mongoose Flat is a very nice brush
from Atlanta, GA
My only complaint about this company is the way they number brushed. It is not consistent with the industry, so pay attention to the size of the brush in the description rather than just looking at the number. The quality is very nice!
Love These Brushes
I recently purchased an assortment of Princeton's 6600 brushes for my finer, detailed oil painting work. I use these in addition to bristle brushes although I won't abuse the 6600 set like I do with the bristles. The 6600's provide the smooth, detailed strokes I need as a painting progresses and retain their sharp edge that I use often. I plan on purchasing a couple more of Princeton's 6600 brushes soon.
from Rochester, NY
nice brushes to work with in oil on canvas or board. The bristles are firm enough to hold up, and soft enough to apply the paint smoothly.
A needed brush
Wonderful brushes for fine detail work. I work in oils and it works great with it
