Welcome to dickblick
Princeton's long handle synthetic bristle brush has excellent stiffness, snap, and hair shape retention for maximum control. It's easier to clean than natural bristle. It's recommended for use with heavier paints.
Used for blending and figurative work, this top-grade synthetic hair holds and absorbs more paint and stands up to heavy body acrylics, and water-soluble oils.
It possesses the same stiffness as natural bristle, however, unlike its natural counterpart it retains its shape and stiffness.
Each brush features a rich, distinctive gold ferrule and black lacquered wood handle.

Good for water-soluble oils
Comments about Princeton Best Synthetic Bristle Flat Series 6300F:
Nice for working with water soluble oils if you use water to rinse your brushes. Like the flats--nice long bristles.

Comments about Princeton Best Synthetic Bristle Bright Series 6300B:
I have bought lots and lots of brushes over the years and I truly can say that I love this brush. It feels good in my hand and is greatly responsive to me. Since brushes are based on a personal preference, I cannot presume another's like or dislike. However, I personally love a firm yet responsive oil brush. Haven't tried it with my acrylics yet, but this is among my absolute favorite brushes.

I Love These Brushes
from Rockford, Il
I put best in catagory. I really do not if its the best for its catagory but, certainly one of the best I've used and I've used brushes of all kinds.I paint with acrylics and 'paint' colored pencils. By painting colored pencils, I use something like gamasol and use a brush to paint like regular painting. I'm not so much for the blending pencils.I like a brush to have some firmness but, also spring and snap. Something that is easy in the area of control. I like Bristles but, they lose shape too fast. And alot of the synthetics do not feel right while painting. But, these...These are wonderful. The control is there that you can do so much more with them. Even with the lack of #0 or #1 in rounds for detail, the #2 works great. I can get better detail then I have with other brushes. They snap back right away without being really stiff. You can make them do what you want. They are definitely one of the nicest and best brushes I have used.I plan on picking up more this week.

Size 10. Great brush for acrylic landscape. Holds a sharp edge, good spring. Stiff, but not too stiff.

Nice for water misable oils
from Burlington, VT
These are medium stiff. On a scale of 1-10, 10 being the stiffest brushes I have found, these are a 7.Perfect for blending work for an impressionistic style.
Best lifting brush
from Santa Cruz
As a watercolorist, I use this brush to lift paint. It work wonderfully and if used judiciously leaves the paper relatively unscathed.
