Welcome to dickblick
This quality, short handle brush for the watercolor painter has good color holding capacity. Use wash brushes to lay out large areas, while using the finer tip flat and round shapes to create fluid watercolor strokes. A great value, this durable brush is economically priced for students and hobbyists.
The Princeton Synthetic series features a rich, distinctive gold ferrule and a green hardwood handle.

Great until they split
These things split so fast. I'm really consistant with my brush care and these still split after very little use. They're soft and supple and work well when they aren't split.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Not only bristles, but handle make this the brush I sought

Comments about Princeton Series 4350 Synthetic Golden Taklon Wash:
This flat/wash brush holds a nice chisel edge when wet, just the tool in a limited selection for my beginning watercolor students. Added bonus, the angle-cut acrylic handle makes a fine scraper for detail.

I've bought hundreds of these
By Lisa B
from Fort Worth, TX
I use these brushes for an art program I run for people with dementia. I've tried similarly priced brushes, but really, these are ideal as they keep a point, hold lots of paint and the bristles are stiff enough to really stir up the pan watercolors. They are great for people with arthritis or other issues who don't have a lot of control over their hands. I've never seen one wear out or break although the paint has chipped on some of the older ones.
Not the Best Brush
from San Francisco
Not too bad in terms of the brush hairs, but after the first time I used this brush the paint on the handle began to crack and peel off. I did not soak the bush in water, or get too much water on the handle at all. Not sure why this is happening.
