Bought #9154 set and at the first use the hairs became brittle and unable to use . Not good brushes for oils. Will not purchase these again. I guess you get what you pay for.

I do oil painting and need to keep my colors un polluted. So i need many brushes of different sizes. If i bought all the brushes i needed in a premium grade it would thousands of dollars... I've actually had some of my best results with cheap, stiff hog bristle brushes. I have just a few premium brushes but i think i'm going to keep stocking up on these.

These are good for acrylic paint and others they are great to use with the fan and other brushes. Though like other brushes you need to be careful with cleaning the brushes and with these one bad clean and you almost ruin the brushes

Love the brights most. Medium-Firm bristles which I prefer. The others are good and will still enjoy using them. Good products and good, prompt service.

I ordered the 9155 White Taklon for the acrylic painting class that I teach.Now I plan to order a set for myself. This set contains a good variety of sizes and styles. The brush feels firm and gives the painter good control. They are easy to clean and forgiving if they get squished in transport--the bristles bounce back to their original shape.

I realize that I do get what I pay for--and I am a hobbyist and not a professional artist, but a some of these brushes shed bristles like a mangy dog. Mainly the medium to bigger brushes--it's not uncommon for me to lose 5 of so bristles at a time. It's a pain to have to pluck the bristles off the wet canvas. I have a set of 7, about 3 of them shed. I will say though, the fan brush is great and and is a good value. The set of 3 small brushes is awesome. (no shedding and it works great for smaller details) So, hit or miss.

Lovely brushes for the price although the postage to Australia bumps them up to a bit more.

Nice spring, very smooth, good points. I use them for ink and watercolour pencil washes.

I just purchased a set of RealValue #9131. I cannot for the life of me figure out why the geniuses over at Princeton decided to glue the brushes together inside the packaging. They included a low tack tape strip, which worked great on the bottom. The strip held the brushes in place and peeled off easily with zero damage to the brush. But then on top they used a type of glue that holds and binds the brushes together so tight I can't separate them without doing great damage to the brushes. I actually had to use a grinding tool to grind down the glue. The paint job has taken a beating and is now compromised. I had to sand down the brushes so much white wood is now exposed. Now I must guard against moisture getting into the brushes body and shortening the life of the brushes. They should have simply used two tape strips to hold the brushes in place. This packaging issue must be corrected and fast. Otherwise I will never again purchase a Princeton brush set.

My daughter and I love these brushes! I have tried other brands over the years and nothing compares. They have been and will continute to be my top choice for my pieces. My daughter, while not an artisan by training, shares my views and my brushes for her crafts.

I bought several sets of the real value series because I have Prinecton brushes in the 5200 series which perform excellently. However, I was very disappointed with the real value brushes. Right out of the packaging they look and feel cheap. The furruls are not properly crimped and the bristle amount seemed slight. When I started to use them the rate of shedding was horrific. little bristles were going every where. I was so frustrated ended up throwing most of of them away. Even after cleaning them. I thought after a few real uses they would just become a collection of handles of poorly constucted wood and metal.
