Princeton Catalyst Polytip Bristle Brushes are another Princeton breakthrough that advances the science of synthetic hair.
For the first time, the tip of each individual hair has been split to replicate the natural flags on the finest natural bristle. By giving each individual hair two to three distinct tips, Polytip bristles are able to hold a higher volume of paint while providing smoother application.
These brushes are super stiff yet still extremely responsive. Designed for use with medium to heavy body acrylics (as well as oil paints), Catalyst Brushes push even heavy gel mediums with assurance. And unlike natural hog bristle, which can be rendered useless when water-soaked, Catalyst Brushes have real integrity in water.
Set of 4 — A Blick Exclusive!

Comments about Princeton Catalyst Polytip Bristle Angular Brushes:
I used it for acrylic painting, and it has the perfect amount of stiffness and holds a good amount of paint. I would definitely like to buy more in different sizes.

Best Brush I've used in a long time
from Yuma, AZ
Comments about Princeton Catalyst Polytip Bristle Round:
These brushes last so much longer than regular brushes. I really enjoy how if I happen to get some medium up into the ferrule the bristles don't start to fan out like they would on a standard paint brush.I did find the Mottler a bit stiff when I was blending my background. I went with a softer natural bristle brush for that and just used the Mottler to put down the base color.I showed these brushes to a friend of mine who teaches high school art and she will probably pick some up for her students. The durability of the brushes will prevent her from having to purchase brushes so often.
This brush gets the job done

Comments about Princeton Catalyst Polytip Bristle Bright:
This brush has both a wide and thin stroke, almost caligraphic, great ability to carry paint, and then also produce a soft edge. I've never had a brush like it and it's taking my work to a new level. The bristles are tightly packed and not flayed out, it's almost like carving out an image with a knife.

Halfway between a hog bristle and synthetic in feel and application. Too early to know how they will hold up.
Golden Artist Colors

I like the clarity of color in the paints. The fact that I choose the OPEN helps with slower drying of the paint. An added plus is that these products are made in the USA.This doesn't pertain to the product but to the Dick Black Company, I appreciate their professionalism. I have been dealing with them since the 1970's. Wish they had a store in Newport News Va. Diane Roselius ( Formally Diane Kyriss)

Excellent Quality, Well made handles, Should last many years of painting!
Great brush for long fine lining!
What I like about the brush is that the length of the "hairs" make it near impossible to get paint in the ferrule.

very durable, takes abuse well
from Silver spring, md
using acrylic paint, these brushes clean up easily. since they are polymer, after a while, the friction dragging them across the canvas will wear them down.
These angle brushes are excellent for line and fludity.
from columbus, ohio
I use the brushes with oil paints which make superior fluid lines. Excellent clean-up Hoping they have good longevity
