Princeton's Series 4050 Bright Shader is an excellent quality short handle brush for the watercolor painter. A blend of different diameters of synthetic sable gives it a better snap than other synthetics. It also enables the brush to hold more color. It's a great brush at a great price! Use a Bright Shader to create delicate lines as well as for thicker applications of paint. Princeton Series 4050 brushes feature a distinctive gold ferrule and a marbleized red hardwood handle. Note — Brush sizes are not standardized. The length and width of a brush of a given shape and size varies considerably by manufacturer.
