This is a product for artists on a budget who want durability and protection for their art work. I purchased one for myself and one for a friend. We use them for transporting our art work to and from lessons.

I purchased this carrier for one reason - to transport my very expensive metal portfolio. It was cheap and I'm fine with that as it won't be a part of the presentation. Nice manufacturing, okay material, and utilitarian.

In this case, a good rule of thumb can be applied: You get what you pay for.

Loved everthing about this portfolio, the price, material, 3 inch gullet and availability of sizes. HOWEVER it really disappointed on the extra small handle which also is razor sharp to the touch on the edges. Hard to carry a load with the handle digging into my skin. Otherwise great. Terrible handle would prevent a future sale by me.

I needed a portfolio this large that also contained individual pages to slide the art into. I noticed that smaller portfolios offered this feature, but not the larger ones.
