Comments about Portable Folding Stools:
NOTE: I have not had experience with other stools, so the two above questions are only "Average" by default.I chose this product as a dedicated workspace seat and have used it about every day since Jan 20 of this year (2016). I'm writing this on Apr 8 and the leather/cloth sandwich around one rung has almost completely frayed and torn itself - it's only a matter of time before I take a spill. The other rungs are flawless to this day, so I suspect it may be a defect.*I weigh around 140lb and don't believe I've been abusing the stool.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Portable Stool is answer to my prayers!
By Pearl the Painter
For an intrepid hiker like me, this stool is light weight enough for me to carry anywhere, and yet it's really sturdy. It folds up in a snap for easy transport. It's also quite comfortable for hours of sketching outdoors.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Portable Utility Seating
Portable shooting seat, rifle rest, footstool for camping.Solid construction, reinforced brass grommets, good leather, lightweight, and compact, should prove durable.Very pleased with item and seller service.Seat size is perhaps a bit small for adults.
Just what I was looking for!

I can discreetly carry this stool along with me to concerts that have little/no seating. Perfect for taking a break and takes no more room than standing up! Light weight yet strong enough to hold someone over 200 lbs.My only recommendation is to have a nice design stamped/printed on the leather.

I've just received the stool and seems very well built and functional. I like the leather and hardwood construction. Metal parts look like they will hold all together for a long time. I plan to use for watercolor painting and drawing in the field. Also will be a lot more comfortable than the grandstand for a front row seat at our July rodeo here.

No brag, just fact

I suppose I could have bought something more high-tech, but I am drawn to more classic designs. I love my little stool! The leather seat is so comfortable, it feels as if someone is holding you in their hand. To be fair, I have not tried the stool out on uneven ground - I don't suppose that will work out as well as something with telescoping legs, etc.; however, this is exactly what I wanted and when it arrived exceeded my expectations.

attach it to an Oxygen Tank
By Miki on 02
from Townshend, Vermont
I have COPD and use full time 02. When I am out in stores or at fairs, I sometimes need to sit down for a few minutes to re-gather my strength. Since the stool is sturdy, a tri-pod for easy balance, and weighs 2 pounds, I can attach it to the pull around 02 tank easily with a shock cord!WOW! It increases my independence as I certainly don't need and don't want to use a walker. Thank you.

portable folding stool
from Westfield, Mass
tbhis is a good camp stool, particularily if you like natural materials- leather, and wood. It is well made, and a good value. It is not super light, but that is not an issue for me, as I use it when I car camp or when I need to sit and paint.Only drawbacks after a few weeks of use:1. I wish the sit was a little wider, I am only about 145 pounds in weight, and fairly short (5'6") and I find the seat a tad too small.2. One of the leather points of attachments seems to be streching enough that I can see the bolt hole. I wonder if it will strech so much that the leg will tear through it. If it does,, I will buy some leahter and repair it. which is a good thing- the seat looks repairable and that is a rare thing in today's world. Over all, it is well made, attractive (leather, brass, natural wood always look better than aluninium and nylon!)and should last even with repairs for years.Good price as well.
