Pink Pearl, our best-selling pencil eraser, is an all-time favorite. Soft and pliable, it always gives smudge-free erasures. It's beveled on the ends for better control.

Comments about Paper Mate Pink Pearl Eraser:
I have been teaching art for about 30 years and these are the best tool for erasing both sketch pencil and colored pencils.

Oldie but goodie!

There's nothing wrong with the standard old favorite - the pink eraser! I use this a lot in general pencil sketching. I just don't use this on watercolor paper where I use a magic rub eraser instead. This may not damage that paper, but I'm just cautious with it. For my regular general sketchbook, though, this is my basic eraser of choice.

I cut up Pink Pearl erasers into about five pieces per eraser. These pieces are put out in the plastic bins that are always on the student tables. I have found that this helps slow down the rate at which the erasers are used up and saves money.

We grew up with these, there on the back of practically every #2 pencil. Like bread and milk for an artist. 'Nough said.

Simply the best writing pencils
By Dani Montessori
from Houston, TX
I am an elementary teacher, so I go through a lot of pencils in my classroom. My school provides pencils for the students to use, but they are garbage. The lead breaks easily inside of the wood, so when the kids sharpen them it just falls out. They also seem to be made from a harden wood that is hard to sharpen and often leaves jagged edges. These pencils are truly superior. They sharpen easily, hold a point well, and write smoothly.
classic for a reason

We include these in our field sketching kits. The slightly abrasive rubber will erase colored pencil lines and even some areas of India ink. The beveled edges allow for good control and precise erasures, and you can trim them down with a blade for an even crisper edge. For really smooth surfaces or delicate papers a vinyl eraser is recommended.
