Write, Delete, and Repeat. The marks you create using this smooth-writing, thermo-sensitive gel ink pen disappear with friction!
Use the friction ball tip to erase. Even multiple erasures won't damage your documents. A cool barrel design and rubberized grip make this pen as fun to use as it is practical.
Note — Erasable pens are not recommended for use on legal or official documents. Do not expose to extreme temperatures (14°F > 140°F) If pen is exposed to temperature that reaches 140°F, the ink will be colorless when writing. To restore color, cool to at least 14°F in freezer and the ink will again write in color.

Fun and very useful tool!

Comments about Pilot Frixion Erasable Gel Pen:
I love using them when working on quilt designs. And they work really well to mark fabric pieces when quilting-- and iron right off! And they are so useful in card making- make a mistake, rub and it's gone. Such vibrant colors, too.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

So far so good
from Indianapolis, IN
I bought two of these pens, the retractable and the non-retractable, on the recommendation of a needlework artists, for transfering line drawings to fabric for embroidery. So far, and I have used it for at least five projects, it works very well. It leaves a visible line and does not 'skip' on the fabric like a lot of pens do. And, with the application of heat the marks disappear. The only thing I don't know yet is how long it will last before the ink in the pen dries up or runs out, but so far, so good. I would recommend this product.

Wow!!! Erasable Pens have really Improved, Love them
I erase a lot when writing, so these pens are great; way better than pencils, and much neater, so I bought 2 packs of 1 style, and 1 pack of another; they are both great, with vibrant colors.
The gel pen is excellent. Delivery time very good.

Love writing in color that's erasable!
from Seattle, WA
I love to organize my writing in color, but hate scratching out...these pens give the best of both worlds! Yes, the colors aren't quite as bright/dense as regular pens, gel or otherwise, but the other virtues outweigh that. Another great feature is that these pens DON'T dry out like most other gel pens--you can even leave them open on your desk...forever, I've never known one to dry out...they do run out of ink rather quickly though. My only complaint is I wish that refills were available.
Product is as advertised
The only problem is not really a problem because it is what it is supposed to do, disappear with heat. I find that I still have to use tailors tacks to mark my darts, and seam lines.
Pilot Frixion Eraseable Gel Pen
from NY State
I use these pens for lettering/drafting. Very handy as they erase cleanly with an electric eraser. I have used the one on the pen but electric does a better job. I did not realize they are heat sensitive and I left a drawing on my dashboard on the way to a meeting... not good! All the lettering was gone when I got there! If I had done my reading I would have put the drawings in the fridge and would not have had to re-letter everything! They are not quite as bold as a permanent pen but the tradeoff is worth it.
Great product, but should have refills!

The Frixion pens are really great to use, and I'm so glad to have found them in .05. However, I don't understand why the refill cartridges are not available, as it's such a waste of product (not to mention, expensive) to continually have to replace the entire pen.

I've always wanted a good eraseable pen and it always looked like they didn't exist. When I heard of these I couldn't wait to get my hands on them. They write almost like the Pilot Precise V pens I love, same tip, although the colors are understandably a bit more transperant and the ink is not AS smooth. But those properties make it easy to sketch. They're great for doing underdrawings in pen or just plain getting used to drawing in pen without being to afraid of wasting so much paper or messing up.The eraser erases okay but wears away at the paper a bit and leaves smudge marks. The best way to erase the ink is to get a hairdryer or to carefully pass it over some fire. It just vanishes. If you look cloesly you can see it's turned into white lines and you can see places were you applied to much pressure, but that will always be impossible to get rid of.If you put it somewhere cold like in the freezer, wait a while, and the lines will come back. It's fun to be able to show people the underdrawing on something.
