Permaset Aqua Fabric Ink is an environmentally friendly, easy-to-use ink that provides long-term durability without compromising its soft handle.
The colors are 100% solvent-free and water-based, offering superior performance, durability, and softness. The pigments are rich in coverage, intensity, and produce exceptional color yield. The inks are low odor, and can easily be cleaned up with water. Supercover and metallic colors are opaque, and they can be used on light or dark fabrics.
After heat fixing, the resilient resin base holds strong during rubbing, washing, or dry cleaning on cotton, polyester, silk, and most synthetic fabrics.
Permaset Aqua Print Paste
Use Permaset Aqua Print Paste as an additive for extending Permaset colors. It is a useful addition to the Permaset Aqua Fabric ink line. 300 ml jar or 1 Liter tub.
Permaset Aqua Retarder
The Permaset Aqua Retarder slows the drying of Permaset Aqua Fabric Inks to allow for longer working times, facilitate the release of prints from the screen, and reduce clogging. Add up to 3% by volume to Permaset Aqua Fabric Inks or Print Paste. The temperature, humidity level, and air flow in the printing environment may require a larger amount to be added. Users should test ink adhesion and resistance to washing, dry-cleaning, and rubbing before a print run. An additional 10–20% drying time is required to fully dry and cure wet prints when using this product.
Color Chart Note — Use this color chart as an approximation of the real color. If exact color matching is necessary, use actual samples of the materials.

Comments about Permaset Aqua Fabric Ink:
The supercover is great for printing on dark fabrics. It's very opaque and gets great coverage. It is a thick ink so you may need an extender if you're printing more than a dozen items at a time to keep it from drying out in your screen.

In the thick of it

I've decided to move from fabric painting to screen printing. I bought white Permaset Aqua SuperCover Textile Printing Ink after researching fabric inks. I chose to go with this eco friendly, water-based product instead of a plastisol for a few reasons. These reasons include the fact that it's easy -- but very time-consuming -- to heat set the ink with a clothes iron. (Note: I usually let t-shirts air dry overnight or up to 24 hours before heat setting.) My wash tests have all been good, even when I've tested tees in hot water without turning them inside out first.I'm able to get excellent coverage with this ink. However, the white is well-known for its thickness. I have run into issues with ink creeping up the squeegee and also have had occasional issues with bleeding. Most likely, i was pressing the squeegee too hard. That said, the solid coverage outweighs any minor hassles.I would definitely recommend this product.

Delivery was faster than expected and it printed smoothly, and showed up even on our dark tshirts. We used this ink for our printmaking club fundraiser. So far, it hasn't faded through washing. We didn't have a proper heat setting, all we had was my dryer in high, and it's still going strong lol
Supercover Colors really work on dark fabrics

Fantastic product for the home silk screen artist or small job shop. We have used Permaset Ink for years and are quite satisfied with its performance. Wish there were a comparable US product; perhaps that could reduce the price. Frustrated that we must now order on-line, wait, and pay for shipping; it used to be stocked at my local Dick Blick store. Recommend the Supercover colors over the others.
Most Delicious Fabric Ink

Had used other water based textile inks for many years before trying Permaset in a pinch when I was in need of "super cover" superpowers and wowza was I impressed! Permaset fabric inks are basically in a different universe from other inks: great coverage, soft texture and the supercover inks have tremendous opacity. I've used the metallics and regular aqua fabric inks as well (dark colors extend beautifully with the print paste) and love LOVE them all.

We screen many dark color garments using the opaque colors. Love the opaque glow colors even on black garments. Make three passes using a 110 mesh screen. Dry using hair dryer for 30 seconds. Then make an additional pass. This layer stays on top and provides maximum opacity. Garments stay bright was after wash. This ink gets softer to the touch with each washing.

Permaset Aqua fabric ink is an excellent product. I have used it many times. It holds up well to repeated washings after being heat set by 3 minutes of ironing. I am excited to have the new product called Supercover White, but haven't had a chance to try it yet. It has more pigment in it and promises to cover better on black fabric.

Bright, durable colors and much quicker heat set times than Yudu fabric ink which I had been using. The Supercover White ink is amazing! Glad I made the switch.

Works so well! Really impressed!
This is the best paint I've used, and I've tried a bunch of brands. I prefer water-based ink but was disappointed that I couldn't find ones that were opaque enough (white & yellow were the worst). I tried plastisol, but that was way too messy for home use. This stuff was the solution. My specific observations… Still has SOFT HAND, but more of a plastisol feel in how it covers. The OPAQUE COMPLETELY COVERS the fabric color, very slightly raised, stretchy/rubbery feel that doesn't crack. In my experience, it DOESN'T DRY IN THE SCREEN ANYWHERE NEAR AS FAST AS OTHERS (like Speedball and Jacquard, which have their merits, particularly in some colors). I do almost all darker colors, so I use mostly super-cover; but I have tried standard cover on white or light color shirts and that works well, too. You DO NEED THE EXTENDER, not so much b/c of fast drying, but because some of the opaque colors are VERY THICK and needed to be "watered" down for best results (white and yellow, especially). Also, I tend to use mostly 220 & 156 screens, both work well as long as you dilute it to a consistency that works. As it came, the white in particular would have "clogged" up a 110 screen even. So, just experiment; it didn't take long to figure out. (And this isn't a complaint. Too thick I can work with; too thin I cannot.) I've used it on polyester (like under armour) and it works great. In sum, this stuff is totally worth the extra few bucks—fewer mistakes, EASY/FAST CURING (relative to others). And Blick is cheaper than every other place I have checked.
