Comments about Pentel Pocket Brush Pen:
Takes a while initially for the ink to fully saturate the brush. Have patience!

This is a great brush pen - there's very little to complain about. I did initially face several challenges getting the kinds of strokes I wanted (especially the really fine kind), but that was mainly owing to my inexperience rather than the defects of the brush.
A great inking pen for varying line widths. :)

After having this pen recommended to me several times, I finally caved several months ago and decided to give it a try. It took me a few days to adjust to the brush tip (I suggest being mindful initially if you are heavy handed) but I love the line weights that I'm able to get with this pen. The ink is a nice dark black and the refill cartridges are relatively inexpensive to replace when you run out. Also, because this brush pen has real bristles, I find that the shift in weights looks even more organic (something that I prefer) in comparison to many of the foam/solid tipped brush pens that I've used.I definitely recommend this versatile pen if you want something that you can use as a filler, liner, or if you just like a little extra variation in your lines.
Can't believe I waited so long to get this...

I've been trying to find the perfect ink pen that would allow me to make really thin and really thick lines. I've tried a few felt tips from various brands. The felt gets worn after a while and most of them are not refillable. This pen is PERFECT. I can make much thicker lines and am able to purchase refills for it. The brush tip is also SO nice! I really like how it glides on paper and I have complete control over the line weight. This pen is a little pricier than others but it's totally worth it. Being able to refill it and not having to worry about the brush losing its shape is a plus.

A joy to use.

The Pentel Pocket Brush Pen is a waterproof, dynamic, line-drawing machine!!! There is a bit of a learning curve, as it's just like any brush with bristles, practice really brings out the variation and textures this thing can produce. I use it for plain line work for watercolor, and for sketching on the go! When I'm at my desk, I have multi-liners, multiple brushes, dip pens, and india ink to work with ...and this pen is comparable to my smallest brush, a 00 Winsor Newton Cotman round brush. The only problem is the refills, you can check the tank regularly but you should always carry a refill, especially if you're working on really absorbent paper like watercolor or mixed media paper.

Great Pen for on the Go
This is a great pen if you are out and about and don't have the time or the storage to pack a well of ink, pens and/or brushes with you, because it's already in this one pen. I love that it is a brush tip instead of felt (like another similar pen I had that became very inconsistent after a few uses). The ink flows fairly even and consistent and I like the fact you don't have to go out and buy a whole new pen every time; just replace the cartridge, which is very simple. Two small things to keep in mind, not deal breakers for me (at least): The price was slightly more than I had anticipated, but it also came with two ink cartridges. Also, I have found while drawing and sketching with it, the ink can be a little slow to dry so you will want to keep that in mind not to brush or lean your hand against the areas you've inked for several min. But overall this is a very nice and reliable pen. I may explore more pens from this brand!

I love this brush pen. The individual bristles make it feel like working with a regular brush and I'm able to get all sorts of different lines with it. I also can be a bit rougher with it than some other nibs which get 'mushy' after certain uses. I've had the pen itself for a little over a month now and I'm really enjoying it and hope to use it for quite a while with the refilled I've purchased.
Exactly what I needed
This pen works wonderfully. I was looking for a textured line for line and wash and this did exactly what I needed it to do. I'm a little late to this party but I'm glad I found it. It does tend to run out of ink quickly but its better than dipping a brush every few seconds.

Fun brush to sketch with
I use this brush topped pen for sketching. It is a fun pen to sketch with. It is also refillable and I like that.

This is the first brush pen that I've used and it take some practice and getting used to. Once you get the hang of it, smooth as glass. Have a lot of fun with it. Glad I purchased it.
