Fabric artists will find these fresh, intense colors are truly "one size fits all." Ready-to-use and highly concentrated, they create beautiful effects on all natural or synthetic fibers.

Ideal for staining, painting, or printing, they become completely resistant to washing and dry cleaning after heat-setting with an iron, and they won't cause fabrics to stiffen. Air dry for one hour before heat setting.

All colors mix easily and deliver excellent lightfastness. Opaque colors are ideal for darker fabrics. Transparent colors are designed for light-colored fabrics, and the shimmering hues provide excellent coverage with glittering and iridescent effects.

Opaque Set of 10 — Set contains one each of the following colors: Titanium White, Lemon Yellow, Buttercup, Vermilion, Bengal Pink, Parma Violet, Cobalt Blue, Light Green, Velvet Brown, and Lake Black.

Transparent Set of 10 — Set contains one each of the following colors: Titanium White, Lemon Yellow, Buttercup, Vermilion, Oriental Red, Cobalt Blue, Ultramarine Blue, Parma Violet, Emerald Green, and Black Lake.

Setacolor Atelier Workbox Set — This innovative set comes in a plastic carrying case that opens into a fully functioning double-layer workbox. It contains 10 assorted 45 ml (1.5 oz) bottles of luminous Setacolor color, offering a rich texture for use on both light and dark fabrics. The set also includes a Squirrel hair paintbrush, a sponge, a mini-palette, a user guide, and a 30 ml tube of Touch Textile for adding a touch of glamour to any wardrobe or décor. I used this paint to 'paint' over some of the flowers on a knitting bag. It was an uphostery type fabric. The original colors were awful but I loved the bag. This paint did great.

I purchased the opaque paints and have used them on white cotton fabric so far and have been very impressed with them! The color is beautiful and after setting they wash very well. These are an excellent product!

I have been testing the limits of this paint for the last 2 months - varing dilution, time in sun, mixing of color, relayering of color after first sun exposure etc. Additionally I have tried it on silk, muslin, egyptian cotton etc. with each creating a different outcome. It's a stunning result that allows for large scale imagery. I stretch my fabric onto a base using carpet tape which allows the fabric to taugt - creating sharper images. My only concern is there is no information on toxicity and I have begun to wear gloves.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

I just took a Sun Painting Workshop at Fletcher Farms School of Arts and Crafts in Ludlow, VT and loved the way Setacolor Transparents (diluted) create "shadow prints" when objects are placed on the wet painted fabric and set out in the sun. When dry, just remove the objects (anything flat on the bottom -- ferns, foamies, stones) and you'll find a negative image surrounded by color. I made a scene inspired by Van Gogh's "Starry Night" by spiralling some plastic necklaces, making trees from feathers (wet to stick down), rice for grass, etc. Amazing. It will be great in my special education art classes.
