Pebeo Porcelaine 150 Paints can be applied to almost any heat-stable surface, including porcelain, crockery, terra-cotta, metal, ceramic, and glass. Allow painted items to dry for 24 hours, then bake them in your home oven at 300°F for 35 minutes for a finish that's as permanent as fired enamel.
With a range of more than 50 lightfast colors, these professional waterbased paints blend beautifully with one another and thin with water or medium. Once fired, Porcelaine 150 colors are safe for common detergents and solvents, the dishwasher (top rack), and outdoor use. The paints are non-toxic but not recommended for use on surfaces that come in contact with food.
Porcelaine 150 colors are not intermixable with Pebeo Vitrea 160, and they heat set at different temperatures. Whereas Porcelaine 150 colors are solid, Vitrea 160 colors achieve more of a fused glass or blown glass look.
Pebeo recommends that you use a soft, natural fiber brush, such as a squirrel hair quill or a red sable watercolor brush, to apply Porcelaine 150. A soft brush will have the right consistency for the paint, and is less likely to leave brush marks.
Individual colors and mediums are packaged in 45 ml (1.5 oz) bottles. Porcelaine 150 outliners are packaged in 20 ml (.68 oz) squeeze tubes.
Many of the transparent and semi-transparent colors, as shown in the color charts, appear quite dark. Names of colors often reflect the special qualities that colors take on when light passes through.
Mediums — Matte and Gloss mediums modify the appearance of the finished surface.
Outliners — Available in selected colors, Porcelaine 150 outliners have a thicker consistency, creating a raised surface. They are packaged in 20 ml (.68 oz) squeeze tubes.
Pebeo Porcelaine 150 Chalkboard Black paint allows you to design and create a real chalkboard on any slick, non-porous item, including china, porcelain, ceramic, metal, and more.
Simply apply the paint to the surface of the piece, allow it to dry for 24 hours, and bake it in a conventional oven for 30 minutes at 300°F. Chalkboard Black dries to a hard, flat, black matte finish that may be written on with chalk. When the message has been "delivered" to your satisfaction, simply erase the old message and write a new one!
Chalkboard Black paint is great for decorating coffee mugs, or even dinner plates. Not only does your artwork provide daily fun at mealtimes, Pebeo Chalkboard Paint is permanent, microwave oven-safe, and dishwasher-resistant after baking.
Porcelaine 150 Workbox Set
This innovative set comes in a plastic carrying case that opens into a fully functioning double-layer workbox full of deep, opaque colors that can be easily mixed and baked to create a dishwasher-safe enameled finish. The set contains 10 of the most popular Porcelaine 150 colors in 45 ml (1.5 oz) bottles, as well as a Squirrel hair paintbrush, a mini-palette, a 20 ml tube of Gold Relief outliner, a sponge, and a user guide. Colors included are Marseilles Yellow, Agate Orange, Lapis Blue, Ruby Red, Amethyst Purple, Turquoise Blue, Peridot Green, Mummy Brown, Green Gold, and Dune Yellow.
Porcelaine 150, Set of 10
Contains 10 colors in 45 ml (1.5 oz) bottles, with one each of Ivory, Marseille Yellow, Scarlet, Lapis, Sapphire, Olivine, Green Gold, Anthracite, Gold, and Esterel.
Porcelaine 150 Undercoat improves adhesion on porous surfaces.
Color Chart Note — Use this color chart as an approximation of the real color. If exact color matching is necessary, use actual samples of the materials.
Once baked, Porcelaine 150 paints are permanent and dishwasher safe.
To heat set a finished piece, wait for the paint to dry completely. Place it in a 300°F (149°C) oven for 35 minutes. Since many vitreous and ceramic materials cannot withstand sudden changes in temperature, we recommend that you place your piece in a room temperature oven and allow it to warm up with the oven. After 35 minutes, turn the oven off and allow it to cool back to room temperature gradually.
Avoid use of strong, abrasive cleaners such as steel scouring pads, and sharp cutting implements such as stainless steel knives, which may leave scratches on the surface and make it more difficult to clean.
Porcelaine 150 is not recommended for use on surfaces that come in contact with food.

16 years and STILL my Favorite Paint!
from Neptune Beach, FL
Comments about Pebeo Porcelaine 150:
I started my "hobby" 16 years ago with 4 pots of Pebeo brand porceline paints, now while my hobby has grown into a business, I am still using the quality paints that got me there. Great variety of colors, they mix well together and don't loose their luster over time. Love the fact that they hold up 16 years and counting when used in the dishwasher. A definite plus
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

I purchased this paint to decorate mugs for a bridal shower. The paint went on smooth and looks really nice. I've never used another paint like this so I can't compare it to anything else, but I am happy with the product.
Fun, bright colours

I used this to augment pottery items I've made. I fire high fire porcelain, glaze with clear glaze and add these colours to non-food items (fridge magnets, etc.) Relatively easy to use.

Metallic glass paints

I use these for glass painting and have found that they have an amazing color, dry quickly, have a great coverage, and shimmer but it's not overly textured and doesn't take away from the color.
Well, it is very colorful

I have not yet cooked the Porcelaine 150, as I've been too busy applying it.over decals on tiles. I know Pebeo is an old company who has made beautiful dyes etc for decades and I have used them before, so I expected that the Porcelaine 150 to be the best. I only ordered the transparent colors, so I could apply them over decals I made for tiles. I think that one really has to invest time in learning to apply these as they dry quickly and do not spread easily. They flow well in small areas but it is difficult to apply it evenly and without streaks and lines in larger ares. Perhaps using more of the thinner or medium with help this issue. Llike watercolors, you really cant rely on white, as I dont think they make one, to tint to pastel shades but rather let the white or whatever color you are applying on show thru. I added gold to blue and it did infact act similar to adding white making a very nice powder blue. The colors are rich and smooth and are very glossy. I dont think anyone would be able to tell the difference from a kiln-fired piece. I will let you know more after I cook them.

perfect glass painting paint
By The Glass Co
from south africa
have used this product for about 15 years if not more and it has been consistently good. I paint glass for a living and only use pebeo and porcelain. I use my glassware as well and the painted glass, if handwashed, has not detiorated over that time. Dishwasher is definitely not recommended. And buying from Dick Blik has made the purchasing painless.
I buy this product over and over, expanding new colors.

I paint on wine glasses. They make wonderful gift and promotional specials. The quality is consistently great with paint and the firing in home easy. I have heard from clients, the the images hold year after year.
Achieve the look of true glazed ceramics without the expense and difficulty of working with a kiln or kiln fired paints.
These beautiful and colorful paints become permanent after baking in a home oven. See a demonstration of these paints
applied to a tile.
