Now it's easy to paint on ceramic, porcelain, glass, and metal with these smooth-flowing markers from Pebeo. The medium-sized round tips on Porcelaine 150 Paint Markers are perfect for writing, drawing, outlining, and highlighting, and they can be used in conjunction with Pebeo Porcelaine 150 Paints.
Pebeo Porcelaine 150 Paint Markers work like other spring-loaded, fiber-tip paint markers. Simply press down on the tip firmly, and "hold" until the paint begins to flow (pump gently to speed up the process). After use, replace the marker cap securely to prevent marker dryout. When you're done painting, allow the painted surface to dry, and then bake the piece for 30 minutes at 300°F (150°C) in a conventional household oven.
Since many vitreous and ceramic materials cannot withstand sudden changes in temperature, Pebeo recommends placing your painted piece in a room-temperature oven and allowing it to warm up as the oven warms up. After the piece has baked for 30 minutes at maximum temperature, turn the oven off and allow the piece to gradually cool to room temperature.
Avoid the use of strong, abrasive cleaners such as steel scouring pads and sharp cutting implements such as stainless steel knives, which may leave scratches on the surface and make it more difficult to clean.
Pebeo Porcelaine 150 Paint Marker colors are transparent. Opaque and semi-transparent colors are available in the Pebeo Porcelaine 150 color line.
Pebeo Porcelaine 150 Paint Markers contain no toxic ingredients, and conform to ASTM D-4236. Once dried and heat-set, the durable,high-gloss finish is permanent and dishwasher-safe. These markers are not recommended for use on surfaces that come in contact with food.
Color Chart Note — Use this color chart as an approximation of the real color. If exact color matching is necessary, use actual samples of the materials.

Paints have changed
from Las Vegas
Comments about Pebeo Porcelaine 150 Paint Markers:
I would not bother buying these pants anymore.. I have used them since day one of them being on the market and they keep changing them and messing with them.. The paint comes right off after they are baked... they are too watery and the fat tip pens wear down after 5 minutes of use and are worthless.. I wish they wouldn't fix what is not broken..
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

I bought ceramic "Palate like" plates for gifts for my artist friends, and wanted to put their names and decorations on them. The pens worked great.

Does its job
from Pittsburgh, pa
I do stained glass sun catchers and this worked great to add some details to them. The wax that I use to polish them has taken all the details that I tried to add with permanent markers, but it does not remove the details I added with this glass marker. I am so happy.

Great product for tiles
from Oakfield, WI
6 years ago, I used these pens to make trivets for a multi-class reunion. I also used porcelain paints and then used the pens for writing. But I think I prefer just the pens. I think the colors look more like water colors and I was able to move the ink around with a brush to blend before it dried. Also, it's so much easier and faster to just used the pens. Just wash the tiles with soap and water, draw your imagine, let dry for 24 hours and then put in the oven at 300 degrees for 35 minutes. How much easier can it get. I glued a thin cork on the back after they cooled. Easy to make and a low cost gift for each classmate. I have enclosed a picture showing the 6x6 tiles. Lower left is the paints and the lower right is the pens. The large top tile, 8x8, has a rough gloss finish and the 6x6 tiles have a smooth gloss finish. I use them for sitting hot dishes on and also for sitting my curling iron on.

The quality of the markers is great if they work. One of the markers stopped working completely.

Good Experience With Blick
from Suffield, CT
I used the black Pebeo Porcelaine 150 paint marker on a couple of pottery dishes that were already fired. My underglaze pencil didn't maintain the heavy darkness I wanted on certain portions of the design, so I bought and used this marker for it's food-safe, waterproof, do-it-at-home qualities. I recommend the fine point for detailed designs, but keep in mind not to press too hard until you get used to the rate of flow. I loved the result enough to ask for other colors for Christmas!
Great for ceramic tile crafts
from Palm City Fl
I used this to outline 100qty color your own ceramic tile crafts for kids. Sometimes it's a bit translucent, most times opaque, but probably my fault for not shaking the pen prior to use. Best when I primed the pen often. Also tried sharpie black oil based and and chartpak ad super black (P-100) but the Pebeo 150 stood up to the kids coloring with sharpie (alcohol based). Besure to let it set by drying it for a day or two or to heat set it in sunlight or low temp oven.
Pebeo Porcelaine 150 Markers were developed to complement the Pebeo Porcelaine 150 Paints. These markers are waterbased and non-toxic but are permanent when baked in a home oven. Apply them to plates, mugs, tiles, china, terra cotta, glass metal and are perfect for kids or anyone not as comfortable using a paint brush. See the details of how they work in this video.
