Ideal for designers, cartoonists, and tattoo artists, Pebeo Colorex Inks are the reference point for art schools, and professional illustrators and designers who appreciate their luminosity and perfectly flat, uniform, velvety finish. These transparent, dye-based inks are available in a range of 60 bright colors.
Colorex Inks are highly concentrated and can withstand heavy dilution with water. Within the color range are three primary colors and one trichromatic Black, all perfectly balanced on the chromatic scale and semi-indelible, inviting experimentation with color-mixing. Colorex White, which is completely opaque, allows lightening of the different shades, thus extending the range into pastel tones.
As with all inks, Colorex Ink is sensitive to ultra-violet rays. To prevent excessive fading over time, images can be protected with a UV varnish.
Pebeo Drawing Gum is recommended for masking purposes.
The Colorex Atelier Set contains eight popular colors and a variety of other materials that are ideal for completing personalized pieces, all contained in a handy, two-drawer, plastic travel case. The set includes:
Color Chart Note — Use this color chart as an approximation of the real color. If exact color matching is necessary, use actual samples of the materials.

I have been buying Pebeo Colorex Ink, for over 3 years now.

Comments about Pebeo Colorex Ink:
I use this Ink for painting, it is extremely vibrant and can take quite a bit of water dilution if needed. I love to use it for abstractand also can be mixed with acrylic, as well as with other water mixable mediums. I have also used it with soft pastel and oil pastel, you get great effects with it.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

I haven't used anything better
These inks are very vibrant, and can take a lot of water dilution. Wish they sold the larger bottles, I go through this quite fast. I use it for abstract, and also in place of watercolor paints.

I buy this great ink over and over..
I love the vibrancy of the inks, they are pigment based and the colors do not fade over time. I use them like watercolors, they can take more water dilution than watercolor.

ONE SATISFIED CUSTOMER

I always appreciate the wide variety of products available through your catalogs. I've been a pen and ink person for many years, always using India Ink - black. I was asked to address wedding invitations in grey ink to match the printed return address already on the envelopes. It took two tries to make it right, but it's great to have those options. I live in an area with very few art supply outlets, and their inventories could never have met this need. Thanks, Blick!

Good Colored Inks Product
By A. N. Rahman

Pebeo colorex ink will give you really soft, calm, pastel like color result. The quality almost like Dr.Ph.Martin's Radiant Concentrated colored ink, like 2nd choice if you can't find or feels that Dr.Ph.Martin is really expensive. The different is this product produce less vibrant color and not blend really well if compared with Dr.Ph.Martin Radiant, but the good thing is Pebeo Colorex doesn't need to be shaken before use, so your hand won't be tired. This product also has really interesting color charts, that really suitable for manga illustrations and storybook illustrations. The bottles are in plastic, so no worry for broken, and the bottle stand up really stable (Dr.Ph.Martin Radiant's bottle is not stable, I ever spill it one time just because pushed by brush stick).Well, this is really good product as for artist/professional grade colored ink. I'm recommending this product to another colored ink artists. :)

I use Colorex inks in mixed media paintings. I first encountered them in Guadeloupe and only picked up 10 colours or so. This is a great comprehensive set and is a good value. I love the brilliance of the colours and their depth. They dilute very well and go on so fluidly. I used Holbein drawing inks almost exclusively before this and while Holbein dries to permenence, there is a light sheen which Colorex does not have. The colours are matte. Excellent product. I rave about them.

This is the only product that I have found that is close to the Luma Watercolor Inks. Awesome color and depth! Just wish Dick Blicks carried more colors.
