I looked all over for this. It is great. The eraser is solid enough for really fine work, but doesn't damage paper. Also it doesn't seem to wear down very fast. Excellent product.

I use this for detail work in pencil drawings and would be at a loss without it.

It's great because it's thin (about 1/8" in diameter) and you have such precise control of what it's lifting. Also, the sticks last FOREVER.

Compared to a kneaded eraser, of course, there's a lot of eraser detritus left on the page--but far less than with, say, a normal mechanical pencil eraser.

I consider this to be one of the best tools in my huge arsenal of art supplies. It is by far the best eraser on the market today. Not only does it erase better than most, but it allows you to erase with great detail and precision. A must have tool if you need to clean up a sketch. It also works great for adding highlights on pencil or graphite drawings. Not to mention, it's retractable so it won't get filthy in your little pouch of pencils while on the go. It has a thinner stick then any other brand of retractable eraser I've seen, which I like immensely. I have about a dozen of these gems laying around all over the place so that one is always near at hand when desired. I've also got a stack of refill packs, though the sticks actually tend to last a long time. I just worry they might discontinue these things one day so I always stock up when I actually see them in a store (which is rare, sadly.) I'll cry if they ever stop making these.

This is one capable, yet precise eraser. It does a good job of lifting both graphic and pastel and if you tone your paper, it is fine enough to "draw" by lifting graphite. It is a very useful, inexpensive tool that I hate being without.

Often times when i want to erase something i'll end up erasing more than that "something". For years i would try and shape normal erasers to fit into fine areas. And still erased more than that "something".

But this shaped with a sheet of sandpaper is outstanding. You can literally erase as though you we're drawing. Again you can shape it. So its it so very hard to erase anything other than that "something"! Lack of graphite residue or smudging only make it all the better.

Add me to the list of admirers for this eraser. I also bought a similar product and find, of the two, this one is my favorite for the cleanest erasing. It's great in the hand and works especially well when removing marks in small areas. I'd even recommend you put this in for a gift when you're making up something for a fellow artist, draftsman, student, or anyone who does paperwork.

This is one of the best tools I have in my arsenal. Yes it is jut a long eraser, but how often have you needed to precisely erase something only to have to use a large chunky eraser? This cheap and useful product is a must have.

Sometimes when making a drawing, it just needs that extra detail. If you're trying to draw hair, this thing is THE BOMB -- you make the tiny highly variable striations with this, and then otherwise just leave the darkish values. most hair drawing with a pencil looks like a bunch of pencil lines. this really gives you a lot more flexibility and range with details like that. Anyway, if you like to draw, this eraser is really fun. The eraser is really hard, but won't tear your paper. Doesn't break off like its brethren. However it is best for tiny details -- not so good for bigger areas. then use one something like the Pentel Clic
